  Stayed here for our Summer 2018 vacation

  Great place in a quiet area of the beach, just steps from the ocean. There were grills around the pool area and we bought fresh fish from local markets to cook for dinner. It was some of the best eating we did that week.

  Nice Location, With a Number of Issues

  The unit we rented was nice with a view looking right at the pool. This one bedroom unit had a bed that stood about 3 feet off the floor. If you were to roll of the bed you would hurt yourself. Besides that the air vent blows right on the bed. Our first night there the internet and cable did not work, but it was fixed within four hours.on the second night the AC went completely out. The temputure in the unit was at 84 at some point. Called rental agent around six at night, and about midnight they brought a window unit. Even with the window unit the unit temputure was high and the unit made all type of noise. The next morning around 10 they fixed the air. The chemicals used in the pool were very hard on my eyes. They do not have an on site manager, and I have know idea how they check the chemical level in the pool. After the problems I excepted some type of discount, but we did not receive a thing.

  Nice laid back experience

  We have stayed here twice - both in units facing the pool. Love staying this end of Panama City beach. Less traffic and it's much quieter. Unfortunately both times we have been here there has been a storm but that's not the fault of Nautical Watch :). We enjoyed our ground floor unit this last visit because it was very easy to step out to the pool. Only problem was some renters found no problem with letting their young children go to the pool unattended. One 7yr old girl was their every time we went to the pool. There was no way her parents could watch her from their rental unit. Great thing about nautical watch is you are on the beach side of Thomas Dr and even if you aren't facing the water you are just a quick walk away.

  Great views, beachfront

  We spent three nights in B6. Panama Beach Time reservations and guest services were awesome and so easy to work with. The view from the balcony is AMAZING!. It is right on the beach, the huge window is awesome. Beach access was easy. We had no problem parking. We did rent 2 lounge chair w/umbrella from Jimmy, 45$ for first day and 35$ for additional days. We had the chairs for 2 days. This part of the beach is far enough from the business of PCB so it much quieter and so so pretty. However, we could have easily brought our own chairs and umbrella and put them in the area right next to the rentals.The overall condo had some damage, I am guessing from the hurricane. There was a blue tarp over the roof on building B. We were second floor so that didn't affect us. The condo was very spacious and we were comfortable. Bathroom and kitchen were a tad small but no big deal. The only issues that we had were a terrible musty, stinky smell when we arrived and a large amount of gnats in the kitchen and bathroom. I wasn't sure there was anything management but by mid-day I was over the smell and the gnats and sent an email to panama beach time. They were so nice and apologetic. Came right over and took care of the problem, bleach down the sink seem to do the trick for the smell and took care of most of the gnats. I did see a few more but not near as bad. I was so glad that I called. only other real issue were the smokers next door. totally ruined any time we wanted to be on the balcony.

  Beware of Unit A2

  Ok I have previously written a review of Nautical Watch based on previous stays, this review is for a particular unit just to ensure it is known not all units are the same. Last month my husband and I stayed in A2 - went through booking.com and booked what we thought was a great deal. Turns out the unit was actually managed by Vacasa and pics had not been updated in several years. We have been staying at Nautical Watch for several years - have stayed in units around the pool as well as a unit In building A so we thought we were good with this rental. We arrived to find the sliding glass door to the beachfront balcony screwed and taped shut with a strap across it. A quick call to Vacasa confirmed that it was secured this way due to it leaking recently and needed to be replaced - waiting on the unit owner to have this done. We were not told ahead of time the balcony was not useable - who rents a beachfront condo thinking they cant use the balcony??? We were eventually refunded 1/4 of the actual rental cost before fees for this discrepancy. We had to make 2 more calls to Vacasa during our week here - non functioning ice maker, no hot water to the dishwasher or clothes washer and the dishwasher was not secured in to place which meant it wanted to fall out when using. The coffee maker was a cheap dollar general toastmaster which barely got the coffee hot. The carpet in the bedroom was filthy as was the bathroom rugs. Pots and pans were cheap and old and needed replacing - they didnt sit flat on the stove also there was no corkscrew to open wine, no blender and absolutely no bakeware - no 9x13 pan, cookie sheet or pizza pan. We have never stayed in a condo so poorly stocked. The unit needed a lot of work - and the excuse we heard was it was all up to the owner. Even if the balcony was open the patio furniture was rusted and ruined - it did not have the plastic lounge chairs that the pictures showed - and I cant see where having the patio door secured would pass Fire code. The beach here is wonderful and we love this end of town but I would pass on this unit until improvements are made.
