Has the bones of a good site but seriously let down in placesThe pitches are reasonable, as many have stated the toilet & shower block are insufficant, always soaking wet floors & regularlly flood. There are queues for the 4 washing sinks most of the day. Although it shows you can use the bar & dinning room facility in the hotel it was shut when we went & told it would only open if an event was on. Went out friday am for the day, came home later when it looked like a festival had been dropped from the heavans onto the whole site, must have been a thousuand plus extra arrive for the bank hols plus an absolutly massive triathalon event we weren't made aware of. Again as noted from others the rather rude and not much help woman in reception failed to do much when questioned about this. That evening was rowdy & full of lads of drunk people keeping us awake till 3-4am & no wardens to sort the issue........... packed up & left 3 days early after being told no refunds for early departure. Do your self a favour , pay a little bit more & find a better quailty site as this was not a good experiance !

Not as bad as we were expecting from previous reviews. We arrive the Sunday of the bank holiday weekend. It was still quite busy on site when we arrived. The pitch are generously sized (we was on an electric grass pitch). There was a few groups near where we were pitched who had music playing quite late, but not blaring, so berable and wasn't an annoyance. It quietened down considerably on the Monday. So I would say weekends can be quite busy and week days seem quieter. The toilets were average, they weren't as disgusting as others have put previously, there was mud on the floors (but you are in a field, hard to avoid), and they did get cleaned while we were there. There was always toilet roll. Nice park onsite, easy access to the water sports centre. We had a great time, the kids loved it, and the water sports activities was a new experience for us all as a family. Overall we had a good experience and would definitely return.

Not a relaxing experienceWe have been to a few campsites but this is the first I havent enjoyed. If you are a big group that want to play loud music unhindered then this is the site for you. If a family looking for a relaxing break, it is not. We arrived on the Saturday to a busy site but found a spot to pitch up. 10 minutes later there were kids on a large swing which gave off an awful squealing noise. Back and forth, back and forth surely the site could hear this but nothing was done to resolve it with a bit of oil. Next two teens parked up near us with their speaker blaring full on rap. We found the noise unbearable so decided to move. Not an easy job in 30 degree heat. The next spot was quieter, or so we thought. A few hours later off goes someone with music again, blaring it from their car stereo with a high base. Next a large group round the corner competing with them on who had the louder music. This went on past 12 when we went to bed (thankfully brought ear plugs with us). Despite having signs up saying no camp fires, many had massive ones. This i dont mind but again shows the site isnt patrolled or cared for. The other issue was that we were bitten to death so make sure you bring some repellant with you. A big shame as the water sports centre is great, but it appeared once you have paid and were in, they didnt care?

Tired and dirtyWe booked here after reading that they had brand-new facilities and it would be a very clean campsite. It could not be further from the truth sadly. The toilet facilities, although brand-new were not open so we had to make do with a very dated ones. There was no mention of this when I rang up to book the campsite. They charged us a premium price of £30 per night at the end of October which is more akin to what I would pay for a five star campsite in high summer. This campsite does not deserve to be more than £10 a night. Please see below the photos which were taken after the cleaner had been to the toilet as you can see they were filthy with muck and dirt that has built up over years everywhere. I rang the campsite to complain as there was no one at the desk and was told that operations would be back in touch with me. Within an hour the cleaner came back and they were exactly the same condition after he left. There were also huge piles of rubbish next to where he wouldve parked his car to do the cleaning and just general litter everywhere very disappointing. An overpriced campsite but has appalling customer service.

Winter visitJust had a cold weekend away in the caravan at this place. just like to say although it was out of season how well kept the toilets and shower rooms were and the fact that they were kept warm and cozy. Thanks
