Pleasant hotel shame about breakfast coffee problemsHotel is reasonably near to amenities and has a quiet relaxed atmosphere. Our room was clean and spacious with great views. Beds very comfortable. Breakfast is only served from 7.30 which is a rather late start if a full day of activities is planned. The result is that there is a surge of guests taking breakfast at 7.30 which exposes the totally inefficient service of coffee. There is a single machine, albeit a fancy one, which produces good coffee but is very slow. This results in the build up of queues and it can take 10 minutes to get a cup. One morning the machine ran out of some ingredient and the queue stretched right across the room. I note that a reviewer commented about this in March 2016 but unfortunately nothing seems to have been done to resolve the problem. What is needed is a second machine, starting breakfast half an hour earlier to spread the load or ideally both.

Poor for priceI stayed at many hotels as I travel a lot but I was disappointed here. Let's start with rooms, no complains there. Very small but comfortable bed, shower ok, little chair and small tv but could not see many english channels maybe one with news, I don't remember. Reception was poor as it was one person there and she keep disappearing so I waited long time to do check in. Not greatly organised. Breakfast the worst part of any hotel I stayed in. Very poor choice and if you trying to eat plant based diet bring you own stuff like I did, a bit porridge is all you can have there. But worst of all is that older mean lady with short hairs, oh my gosh I never expeirenced nothing like it before. She literally pushed me around to get her coffee and rush to cut fresh bread to get herself a first slice and then disspeared in kitchen for a while with it. You really should give her training how to treat guest with basic respect, I don't think it is that hard to do. Bar would not have even whisky in it, nothing there but small lobby. Boring. So big let down by stuff there, makes you feel unwelcome, after paying so much money for room, I was not happy about it. I would choose another hotel next time.

Do not pay the deposit unless you want to pay it twice!Upon reservation I have been asked to pay a deposit to guarantee the reservation which I did promptly. When I arrived they claimed that they had not received the deposit (but still accepted my reservation...) despite me showing them the transaction on my mobile banking. So I ended up having to pay the full amount for the room when checking-out - feeling treated like a liar claiming that I had paid the deposit. Back home I sent them my account statements from which it was evident I had paid the deposit. The hotel still claimed that "accounting could not find the payment", no offer to pay anything back or any indication that they even believed me having paid the deposit (despite twice providing them with proof). I felt treated very badly that them losing my deposit was my issue not theirs. In the end, I was faced with either taking legal action or acknowledge that I paid CHF 400 per night for a room in a 4* hotel that was actually rather a 3* standard. (I settled for the writing-the-money-off-getting-on-with-my-life route.) Granted, the hotel was clean, but the rooms are old-fashioned, they do not even provide toiletries for guests and the breakfast is ok with nothing particular to write home about - other than maybe the fact that you shouldn't leave it to the last minute to come down if you still want to have some choice. I will definitely never return to this hotel nor recommend anyone to stay there after having been treated this way which felt like a complete rip-off.

Amazing Place to StayAmazing hotel! A great view, and the spa is also great. The breakfast is a bit limited, but still delicious. It is great that the ski pass is also the keycard for the hotel room, and the ski room is also very convenient. Close to the Jakobshorn mountain, and also offers a Shuttle Bus to the mountain. The service was marvelous. Would definitely return and recommend.

This hotel was great!This hotel was clean and comfortable. The views were beautiful. Their breakfast was very good. And if you book through Booking.com you get the 15chf spa package free. The staff was great and very helpful.
