  Fantastic stay and food!

  Stayed here for 3 nights and had 3 buffet breakfasts and 1 buffet dinner. My only regret was I should have also made it 3 buffet dinner at NASPA New Otani! It was FANTASTIC! This hotel is not cheap but as I made bookings very early, I got it at quite a good price. The hotel is old but very well maintain. We stay in a Superior Fouth Room. It was huge and very clean! It actually consist of 2 rooms combined into 1. Bed was lovely to sleep and the aircon was great! We were took the regular free shuttle service from Yuzawaechigo train station to the hotel. Check in was smooth and easy. The buffet breakfast was delicious and the buffet dinner was even better! Neverever had I eaten so much crab before! The public onsen was really good. Clean and spacious. The outdoor onsen was lovely. We rented 1 day of skis and as it was the first day of the season, all the gears were brand new! The ski slopes were good enough for us as we were only beginners. Kids had a wonderful time on slopes. We had lunch at one of the restaurants NASPA New Otani. It was more like a cafeteria but it was cheap and delicious. If I do come back to Yuzawa, I would definitely consider staying here again and this time have buffet dinner for all the nights!

  Excellent Family Ski Resort

  My family and I stayed in a 2-bedroom suite with a wonderful view of the ski slopes. Aside from the great food and facilities, the hotel staff and level of customer service here is amazing! We had left our reserved train tickets in our room when we checked out and only realised this when we arrived at the train station. To this day, I still can't believe that without us asking, our hotel room cleaner had found our tickets and the hotel speedily arranged for a staff (Fujii-san) who found us on the platform just before our train arrived, and handed us our tickets. No matter how hard we tried, he would not accept a tip for his trouble. We would highly recommend this hotel, and look forward to returning soon ourselves. Thank you Naspa New Otani for a fantastic and memorable holiday!

  Truly Japanese Service

  We had a 3nites stay at NASPA. We were greeted by the shuttle bus at Echigoyuzawa Station. Within 5 mins we arrived at the hotel. Check in were fast. We had a 2 bedroom suite and it was marvelous ... nice view facing the ski slope and big room plus clean. Public bath were free for guest but they charge for the pool (bout 1200yen). The only problem is this hotel is 5mins away from station.... there is no restaurant nearby... only restaurants available is in the hotel. Staffs service were tip top. All i can said it matches the Japanese standard. We really enjoy our stay at NASPA. Highly recommended.

  Good facilities & hospitality.

  Perfect ski facilities but sadly when we were there it didn't snow. Hotel is huge- biggest & best Japanese & Western breakfast buffet ever! Rooms were huge & love the enclosed & opened onsen- if only they have free ice cream like the one in Yuzawa. Free bus service from the nearby train station.

  Family-friendly ski resort 75 minutes by train from Tokyo

  Naspa is a family-friendly ski resort operated by Hotel New Otani which we have stayed at numerous times. Why? Because it is very easy to reach via train from Tokyo. Part of the family-friendly focus of the resort is its total ban on snowboarding which means there is none of the annoying snowboarding beginner crowd about to run you over on the slopes. The resort has a good range of slopes and lifts, all located right next to the hotel. Other facilities include onsen hot spring baths and swimming pool. The snow quality here is often great and unlike resorts in northern Japan, it is never too cold here.
