Make sure to sleep inSeems like a nice place, but for a business traveller, who needs to work late and get up early, don't count on using any of the facilities. Gym and pool close early and open late. Its a shame that the staff is not more accommodating.

Nice room, terrible location and serviceMiles from anywhere this hotel seems to have gone mad with the "you cant do this or we will charge you 500 Bht" signs. Nowhere close to eat and they dont serve any food which leaves you a bit stranded. The pool is nice (but dont drink, smoke or wear shoes or you will be charged 500Bht)

Lovely peaceful hotel off the beaten path in busy Surat ThaniI was impressed with the room and the facilities. The staff couldn't have been nicer. I had a nice sized room with a king mattress. the bathroom facilities were great. Nice pool on the river gives you very pretty views. Quiet and peaceful. I didn't feel any of the hustle and bustle of Surat there which makes it very relaxing.

High potential with the pool & riverside location, but lack of F&B lets it down badlyStayed for 1 night while in Surat Thani for business. Selected the Naraya based on the price and the riverside poolside of the hotel. Aside from the view of the riverfront, the location is not very convenient for any services (restaurants or entertainment) without use of a car. The small resort has been well-designed with a large pool by the riverside, but its not being made full advantage of. The furniture around the pool are generally cheap plastic chairs, and without any real Food & Bev outlet, the best offer are some cold drinks from a fridge. Badly under-utilized area, but a nice large pool & jacuzzi tub are available. The Standard Room on the ground floor was a good size & layout with a nice adjoining balcony overlooking the convenient onsite carpark. Good bed and air-con, limited local TV, minibar, and bathroom (shower only). In general quite a decent room for the price, but then let down by a toilet lid & seat that looks like it has been found at the bottom of a rubbish tip and attached to a perfectly good toilet. Disappointing and pretty gross. Without on obvious restaurant in the hotel, I was curious as to how exactly the Breakfast was to be prepared in the morning, and it still remains a mystery. I had barely sat down at the nice "dining"/reception area overlooking the pool in the morning (9 am) when a full plate of (ice cold) eggs, (even colder) toast and (untried) "ham" and sausages arrived at my table. Was this for someone else?! How long ago had the plate been "prepared"? Had it been made at the start of the ABF service two hours before I arrived?! Topped off by 'coffee only' hot drinks, it was pretty clear that Food & Beverage service is not high on this hotel's priority list. So, as with many similar operations, a very nice site and well-constructed building is not being run to its full potential. Perhaps if/when it gets a restaurant and some consistent service, the overall experience will improve to match the comfortable room, but unless you can survive on FamilyMart food (the only thing within walking distance), unfortunately I'd have to recommend to keep any stay at the Naraya Riverside short, or be prepared to spend a lot of time in a car getting supplies from elsewhere.

My car garage is more inviting than the hotel roomThe room is dark and depressing with a mixture of polished and unpolished concrete. The curtains are so thin you can almost see through them at night. The shower floods because the drain is blocked and the basin leaks onto the floor because it is not attached to the plumbing very well. I imagine the room would be similar to those in cell block H. We checked out early and forfeited a pre-paid night.
