    Fabulous find!

I'm shocked by any previous negative reviews. Were they staying at the same place? The breakfasts were fantastic. Maria makes them fresh every morning. We stayed in Kira's suite, which is huge! There is also an adjoining room in case you have an extra guest or children with you. The room has a private entrance and you can pull your car directly up to the door. The porch is really nice. We got takeout one night after a full day of wine tasting and ate it on the porch. The rooms are clean and it's very quiet too. Ron is very nice and you can tell he cares about his guests too! The room does not have movie channels. Basic TV.

    You may like it....or not

Booked this B&B for a two night weekend in Napa along with my brother and his wife. This was priced below the average hotel/B&B for this peak season of September. This is what attracted me to booking it. It also had some decent feedback on Trip Advisor. This really was a beautiful home and property in general. Loved the living room area with its huge picture windows that expanded the views to the backyard. The decor was a mixed bag that some may love and others may not. This is very subjective. Since I personally love collectibles and antiques it was interesting to me. The room I had which is considered to be the largest of the many bedrooms was very spacious and had a spa tub outside of the bathroom and a nice large shower in the bathroom. There was a faux fireplace in the bedroom area. Again the room decor is subjective. I was fine with it overall. The Queen bed was comfortable. My room had a private entrance around the side of the house with a nice little patio with a table and chairs. If you enjoy peace and quiet then this would work for you. My brother and wife had a smaller bedroom off the living room inside of the house. It was very cute and cozy looking. Everything looked very clean from the living areas to the bathrooms. There was a beautiful dining area where a decent breakfast was served at 9:00 am sharp each morning. It is the social area each morning where everyone meets at 9:00 am to eat or they miss out on the breakfast experience. I really enjoyed all of the different people who where there and conversation. Now why did I rate this only three stars? There is a really good reason. What is very important to me, along with other guests I discussed this with, is a nice fresh cup of coffee when I wake up. Absolutely no one is around to make you fresh coffee if you get up early. They did have a pump type insulated pot that was marked coffee that was luke warm at best and appeared to be left over coffee from the morning prior. Just terrible. No small coffee makers in the room and nobody around until around 8:30 am to even make fresh coffee. If you are a early riser getting up at 6:00 am like I am you are out of luck. One of the other guests actually drove to a nearby 7/11 to bring coffee back just to have a fresh cup. This would be such an easy fix if they even had a small single cup coffee maker available to guests before the crew arrived to fix us breakfast. I guess you would need to bring your own coffee maker along with you if you stay here if it is that important to you. Overall a pleasant experience. But for me the coffee thing is a deal breaker for me to return.

    Comfortable stay in Napa

My wife and I recently spent three nights in Amys Room and found it to be a very pleasant experiencethe queen bed was comfortable, and the room was spacious, especially the bathroom and shower. Everything had a lived-in feel yet was quite clean. The breakfasts are always served at 9:00, which worked out fine for us, but I suppose might be a problem if you needed an earlier start. We thought these might have been the best breakfasts we have ever had at a B and Bdelicious, but different each morning. Ron is a terrific host, and we enjoyed hearing his stories about Napa and his family. We would definitely stay here again if we return.

    Nice Room

We booked this B&B for our annual trip to Napa and really enjoyed the room. Breakfast was good but the Inn keeper was a little too pushy - made me feel a bit uncomfortable. We felt the time that breakfast was served was a little late. My husband and I are early risers and like to get out the door on our way by 9:00am. Breakfast was served at this time so we had to delay some of our winery tours.

Comfortable, clean inn adjacent to Napa.

Typically when I go to Napa, I find an inexpensive hotel in a nearby town so I can focus on the food and wine. This time, taking friends who had never been to Napa, I tried to find a reasonably price place to stay at least close to Napa, if not in the city. Stahlecker fit the bill. First, if you're looking for a B&B, Stahlecker no longer serves breakfast. I had expected it to, but e-mails about my stay prior to my arrival made it clear that wasn't part of the deal any more. So at least I knew (and got to try some new breakfast places). Was in the Cabernet room...very good sized, clean, and comfortable. The property is nice and somewhat secluded. It is a little isolated, as well, from Napa...you're really not walking anywhere so plan to drive or Uber/Lyft. Good location, though, close to Hwy 29 (i.e., easy access to wine and quick drive to downtown Napa). As mentioned in other reviews, the owner can be a little intrusive if you run into him. I think at base he's a nice guy, but might be a bit lonely and thus wants to chat and chat and tell stories. Everything worked well. I'd definitely consider returning for a similar weekend experience.
