    Lovely hotel

We stayed only one night at the hotel however we love to stay more if we could. We like everything there, peaceful, nice facilities, clean room. Breakfast was very good with variety of food. We really impressed with receptionists who were very nice and excellent service mind. The hotel is not far away from Wat Phumin, less than 15 min driving. My daughter forgot her hand painting when we left. After contacting them, they were very helpful and managed to send the painting back next day. We strongly recommend Nan Boutique if you want the nice and lovely hotel to stay in Nan down town.

Decent place to stay but too expensive.

Quite a modern room, quick wi-fi. Bathroom sink didnt have plug which was annoying when having a shave. Bathroom sink didnt have hotel hot water which was a surprise for a hotel at this price. Breakfast was fineegg station with the usual Thai provincial hotel dodgy sausages and plastic ham. Salad bar was great. Plenty of good quality bikes available (free) to explore the town. Staff very obliging. Decent place to stay but too expensive.

    Overpriced

We first came to this resort and ate at the restaurant, I gave it a five out of five, the food was excellent, so three days later we came back to stay, and I have to say we were disappointed, the owner Roger is very friendly, but we were made some promises that were not fulfilled, I told him repeatedly that we were vegetarian, and we didnt like a lot of sugar in our food, we got sugar in the yogurt, sugar in the granola, and sugar in the food all the time, sauces and flavouring was all heavily loaded with sugar, I ordered 2 different shrimp dishes (thinking there wouldnt be any sugar in it), the glaze on top of the shrimp was loaded with sugar, Rogers response was Thais eat a lot of sugar, Im sorry thats not good enough for me, when I was very clear in the beginning that we wanted to avoid massive amounts of sugar. Staff encouraged us to get a Thai massage, they told us it was 400 bat, so we went ahead and booked the massage, for my wife and I, we wanted a Thai massage, not an oil massage, we ended up with an oil massage even though thats not what we wanted, then on our bill appeared 600 baht, not 400 baht, to be fair to Roger, we complained and he immediately charged us the agreed price of 400 baht, but we should not have had to bring this up at all, when we were in Nan city we were charged 150 baht for a one hour massage, it was fantastic, our 400 baht massage was a big disappointment, we also found the food to be disappointing, the portions are very small and overpriced for Thailand, The second day before we left, we were looking for Roger, we couldnt find him anywhere, we asked the staff, and they said he was away, that evening we asked again where Roger was, and we finally found out that he had gone for two weeks or do for a vacation down south, he never said a word to us, we found that very strange, although the staff was very friendly, it didnt seem the same without the owner there, we found it strange that he didnt say goodbye, or he was going away, and thanks for coming to stay with us, etc. etc., kind of odd behaviour, The room was fantastic, we loved the views of the valley, no complaints there at all, They provided very warm blankets on top, because its very cold in Nan city at this time of the year, it went down to 8+ Celsius, but we were very warm, not one English channel on the TV, we are staying in another area, and we had 2 English channels, when you are on vacation its really nice to keep up with the news, especially with the Contra virus thing going on,not sure why theres no English channels, when most of the guests, if not all are English speaking

Centrally located, nice touch on free bicycles but a little overpriced.

We stayed at this hotel as a group of friends. There were five of us and between us we stayed in four rooms. We had only one night in Nan on our motorbike trip so we only spent one night here. The rooms are decently sized. Beds are on the harder side (which I like). The bathrooms are a bit too old-fashioned with everything being concrete. However, everything when we visited was in a good condition. We couldn't say much about service as we arrived late and departed early. Breakfast buffet was average. A few Thai selection, with boiled rice station and an eggs station. The hotel seemed very popular amongst Thais. We believed the weekend we stayed there the hotel was almost full house. Location wise, the hotel is quite centrally located. With only a few minutes walk to the nearest market. The hotel had a free bicycle rental service where you can take their bicycles out to roam around the town centre. We found this to be very pleasant as it shortened the time it took for us to get to the night market. Basically it's two minutes away from the dead centre of the city with these bikes. Overall, the hotel would be better if they were priced correctly. We felt that the right price would be around 25% off of what we had paid for the night.
