    loved this place. Wonderful!

The location is to the south of Kuta and it was very difficult for us to find at first as it isn't on the main road but down an alley between 2 buildings. Opposite the Ramada entrance is a bank and the alley is along side there. Don't be put off by the alley it felt safe and is only a 50 yard walk down there. And it is well worth it when you get there. It is beautiful and i loved it. It is a very traditional Balinese style building with rooms attached. The people are so lovely and always on hand if you need them but not at all intrusive. We took room 7 on the first floor which was light and sunny. We could also sit out on the balcony if we wished and catch the light breeze up there. It is a lovely peaceful spot yet you are so close to the main road you would never know it. All you can hear are birds singing. Our room was spotlessly clean and we had good AC. It is very quite on low if you need to leave it on at night. The bed was very comfortable and they use good quality cotton sheets which is nice. We also had a tv which we didn't even turn on and a good size fridge for your own drinks and a cool flannel! the bathroom is a little dated but we had a bathtub to stand in whilst we showered and there was plenty of hot water. My only niggle would be that it was difficult to wash your hair and hold the shower head at the same time. If they sorted this out there would be no niggles at all and to be honest, it wasn't a big enough issue to moan about. The wifi in our room was intermittent. Some times it would be good, others poor and sometimes none at all which was frustrating but not enough to make a big deal about. I really enjoyed breakfast which was included in our room price, and we ate downstairs in the family temple area. They would also supply flasks of hot water if you wanted to make hot drinks in your room. would we stay again. Definitely - a hidden gem in the madness of Kuta!

Quite and out of the way fro the busy streets

First off, you need to find the place. Just find the Ramada hotel and there is a little alley way across the road which you need to go down. At night it's dark but worth the little walk as this guest house is a little gem. Clean rooms, lovely family who run the place, breakfast included and most of all you can not hear the streets of Bali. It is a like a little sanctuary in the heart of Bali Close to the airport, but you wold not know it, as you can't hear the planes. The only reason why it did not get five stars was the internet was very poor, and some time unusable. Which after 5 days we had to move to another hotel to get internet access.

    Nice to sleep

After long trips of your vacation, this is a cozy and hommy place to rest. It is quiet. Very clean. The guest house actually easy to find (Pendawa, the alley name, is written in a big sized font. You only need to get into the alleya bit and find Nakula). Near the guest house, there are two malls (Lippo Mall and Discovery mall). It is 10-15 minutes walking to the beach and the crowd of Kuta. Convenience stores are very near. When I stay, the wifi doesn't work. But who urges for wifi in the hommy place? Air con works good also the refrigerator. Bathroom is clean, has tub and shower. The staff is kind.

    Best Guest House in Kuta

Nakula Guest House is the best guest house in Kuta. Away from busy traffic and tourist masses, but close enough to everything that Kuta has to offer. Priced are very reasonable to cheap (the longer you stay the cheaper the price).

Disappointed to have started our trip here!

Perhaps a series of unfortunate luck, but our experience was not a positive one at all. we had a one night stay at Nakula. We arrived at the place and the immediately asked for our "shuttle service" (which according to booking.com should be offered on site) for our next morning flight. After much struggle (keep in mind we had an almost 2 day long travel to get to Bali) to make ourselves understood in plain English and having to pull up the "services offered" on the website, the response we got was "our boss is not here so we don't have shuttle service". Okay, so let's figure something else out! To have a taxi arranged for the next morning was like pulling teeth! That passed, and I asked if we can have our "included breakfast" prior to departure and the response was a long laugh along with it's too early". On to the room.... we went in our "supposedly" air conditioned room, and all attempt to turn on the A/C failed. So we were asked to grab our stuff (did I mention we were exhausted after very little sleep on the plane for 48 hours and the time was now past 10 pm?) and change our room. The a/c turned on but it was basically a near death fan. Now I attempted to go and take a shower in this room freshly sprayed with a ton a bug spray, an incredibly insufficient fan (not a/c).... be aware, there is no shampoo in the shower. We even had to ask to get a bar of soap! There was a funny humid smell in the shower also, which was rather bothersome. All in all, the next morning, I was happy this nightmare was over with! I rarely write reviews like this, but the experience was just not a positive one. Good luck!
