Neat ApartmentsThis service apartment is located close to MRC Hall, at RA Puram. Ideal for persons conducting marriage in the weddding hall to accomodate their additional guests. The rooms are neat and well maintained. A restaurant is also attached but nothing much to say about. As regards pricing, it may be a little expensive. Commuting should not be an issue as Autorickshaws are available. Good for stay for a day or two.

From booking to checkout - problems galore - AC, Water, Service, TV - nothing worked during our stayThe hotel was known as Nachiappa Residency uniil mid of april 2019. Subsequently fully taken over by OYO. My booking was was with the former and stay was with the latter. HAd Booking of 8 rooms for 19 nights between 25th April and 29th April Experience at different stages: Booking: ======= Did the booking with Nachiappa resiedency (taken over by OYO in mid April 2019). Had made the complete payment of 34200 in April 1st week. Neither OYO nor Nachiappa acknowledged the payment, despite repeated calls. OYO had no clue about the payment. Even now, they are sending the link for payment. So much so for their take over process !! checkin: Was ok. Small and large rooms were given. Rooms were not checked for the functionality before checkin. Read the section on Rooms. Rooms: ===== Most horrible of all my stay in hotels, so far. All the rooms had one or more of the follwing problems - AC not working, AC cooling and then suddenly becoming hot, flush not working (one room had to be changed because the toilet was not flushed by the previous guest!!), Water not available in bathroom, TV and settop boxes not working, Card switch not working, difficulty in opening door from inside and outside. All problems were reported repeatedly to the reception (manger's assistant, for the manager was never available) , but no action taken. The smaller room does not have space for luggage. At most one suitcase can be keppt. Service: ======= Was left to the housekeeping boy to take care and communicate with the guests. He did whatever best he could do. The manager and his assistants were never available or did not bother to solve the problems. Water was not coming in the bathrooms during checkin. After repeated requests, they switched on the motor. Took a while for the situation to be set right. Next day afternoon, again there was no water. there was no attempt to provide water. On the evening of the 26th, again there was no water. Housekeeping boy could not help. Manager apparently had gone home (7pm??). No one else available. Talked to one Krishna on the phone who said that he was the OYO manager. He would neither take responsibility nor do anything. Finally, we got water at arond 9pm, after a heated shouting at Krishna. His logic was that the someone has to come from Porur (about 20kms away) to set right the problem. One of the guests left the key at the reception and went out. When they came back, the persons at the reception could not locate the key. TV, AC etc. - there was no attempt to make them work, No laundry service. Room service: ============ ORdered snacks and they delivered after an hour. Ordered tea. Said it would take half an hour. After half an hour they came and said there was no tea. Wifi: Never worked. ==== Checkout: ======== No one to help with the luggage. Final checkout was to happen on 29th. But, because of the pathetic service (or no service)decided to checkout a day earlier and stay in another reputed hotel. Had paid for 8 rooms, for 19 nights. But, only occupied 7 rooms for 16 nights. During checkout the lady at the reception did not bother to give us a receipt or bill and did not even have the courtesy to tell us as to how much we paid and how much excess we have paid (even if you cannot give a refund, basic courtesy is to inform). I am still getting the payment link from OYO. Now sure when this would stop. Even now, when I want to send the feedback to OYO, their support form does not work. My worst stay in a hotel. Only good thing is the location. Parking is on the pavement (you may or may not get a spot.

Oyo at its worstThe only reason I did not give a "terrible" rating is because of the location and comfortable bedding. Otherwise.... 1) Was welcomed into the room with a toilet which had been used but not flushed. Reason given - "must have been used by the plumber who was working in the room" 2) Ordered masala tea and was told that it will take 30 mts. After 30 mts sombody comes to the room and says "not available", we can give you coffee. 3) AC was pathetic and the room became slightly cool if the temp selection was at 16 degrees and the AC was kept ON for atleast 6-8 hrs. 4) Drinking water(bottled) not supplied on 3rd day, reason given - " have ordered the bottles, not yet received". 5) Water was made available in the bathroom only after repeated calls were made to the reception and that too 10 minutes after making the call. It is possible that due to oversight the motor may not have been switched ON once, but this problem repeated 2-3 times during my 3 days stay. No hotel staff was available to lodge a complaint except one poor boy from housekeeping who seemed to be all in all - manager, receptionist, bell boy, waiter etc.All the other staff were busy having lunch, watching IPL matches or had simply gone home to take rest. Manager Mr.Krishna was missing at 6 pm and answered the phone only after repeated calls. His reply for all the problems was "OYO has just taken over this hotel 10 days back". PLEASE NOTE I STAYED IN THE SAME HOTEL IN JUNE 2018 AND HAD SIMILAR PROBLEMS. THE REASON GIVEN WAS THE SAME - OYO HAS JUST TAKEN OVER THIS HOTEL !!!!! 6) CHECK OUT - I am a Senior citizen and was checking out with two suitcases in tow and two bags on my shoulders, with my 86 year old mother following me - this was watched by atleast 3 staff at the reception, but no one bothered to even offer to help me or provide a bell boy. So much for OYO service !!! MY ADVISE TO OYO - PLEASE CLOSE THIS HOTEL IF YOU CANNOT MANAGE IT, AND MY ADVISE TO ALL TRIP ADVISOR MEMBERS - AVOID STAYING IN THIS HOTEL EVEN IF IT IS OFFERED AT DIRT CHEAP RATES.
