  Great location, rooms not so good

  Inspected My Hotel. Very interesting set up. Rooms are small and some even have no windows??? Lounge suits in the rooms are available. Location wise it is top notch. There are some brilliant hawkers who will give you a great feed for next to nothing. Central to BM. More comfortable chilled out facilities are available in town such as Vince Vila if you need to visit BM Rooms did feel a little small also.

  Value for money

  Small hotel but value for money. The room is basic but the facilities are adequate for a short stay. There is free parking for hotel guests at the compound in front. Close to eateries and shops. Water dispenser near the elevator is a welcome convenience.

  Value for money , excellent location

  This hotel is neat , clean, with elevator access despite just 2 floors. Diagonally across the road is a morning market which sells fresh produce and traditional Malaysian breakfast . Theres a huge food court close to the hotel which serves food from morning to night. Its not far from St Annes .

  Front desk issue

  The hotel is okay for the price, the reason I booked this place is because it's one of the participating hotels of Penang Eco 100 and the pick up point for the runners. Positive - Near the shops and food court. There's an Oldtown cafe nearby and some restaurants as well. The lady from housekeeping is really nice. Negative - The man from front desk couldn't find my booking, if there were no available rooms we'd be out looking for hotel at midnight. Good thing there was available room. The same man told me we can stay until 5 pm w/o charge but when we checked out, a different front desk person told us we have to pay 40 ringgit. They agreed to take 20 after I explained I was misinformed. Still such a bad service. The rooms are clean but the one for 3 persons is just too small. Will not book again.

  Value for money and strategic location

  MY Hotel is not the newest in town but it has undergone renovation. The electronic card key is used to gain access to the room but it is not used to activate the electrical supply in the room for there is no card slot to be inserted in. We were asked to pay RM50 as refundable room deposit. The hotel has its own private parking area, which is situated in front of a nearby condominium. We stayed one night in a standard room. We were provided with a total of three pillows. We thought the air-conditioned room was rather small but we were fine with it since we did not have large suitcases/bags. There is a small table, a stool, and a plastic chair in the room. Room amenities included two complimentary bottled water, coffee/tea making facilities, television, telephone, wardrobe and luggage storage area. There is a waist-length mirror found near the table, and another mirror in the ensuite bathroom. The ensuite bathroom has a washing basin, a hot/cold standing shower, toilet, body towel, and floor mat. Toiletries such as shampoo, soap and toilet paper are provided. There are three power outlets in the room (two near the table and one next to the bed). Water dispenser (hot/cold/room temperature) is provided near the lift of the same level. Snacks and cup noodles can be purchased from the reception counter. With the limited choices available in Bukit Mertajam, we opined that it was a good choice to stay in this hotel in view of its strategic location. There are many food outlets nearby the hotel.
