Poor food so be prepared to eat out

The hotel is located just off the main highway along the coast road. This means that any rooms facing the highway will get road noise. However for the price if you want convenience then it's perfectly situated. Any one who's not happy with this should request a room away from the highway. The room we had was clean and well appointed. The linen and towels were changed every day, but we had to request an extra pillow each as the one that was there was a bit flat. The in room fridge was not cold enough and there were no controls to adjust it. The bathroom was tight if more than one person was in it but this is a minor point. The water was only lukewarm and it would have been nice to have a hot shower on occasion. The pool was excellent and the sauna and Turkish bath were well managed and tidy. Access to the beach was via a walkway under the highway. Not the nicest, but considering the price it was a small inconvenience. For those who didn't like it the beachfront hotels, all 5 star, would have cost twice the price, and they were only across the road. The food left something to be desired. There was an abundance of salad every day, but regular food like chicken was not plentiful and if you were late for dinner you could miss out as there was a rush at lunch and dinner times. They had burgers at the beach until 5 but not sure if they were beef. The staff were friendly and professional so this helps. Drinks were limited to cheap vodka and gin and soft drinks. Anything else was not in the inclusive package and had to be paid for. The gym was poor and needs updating with some proper equipment. The table tennis that was advertised did not exist. The evening entertainment needs some work. It could be that it's the end of the season and they have run out of ideas, but it consisted of using the guests in some embarrassing games. The children's entertainment consisted of cartoons (tom &Jerry) and then a couple of children's dances which were Turkish specific, every evening for over an hour. This needs changing. All in all, not bad for the price for a beach holiday, . If you want trips you can go to alanya by bus or book a jeep tour to ruins or a boat trip.

    Worst hotel ever

I cannot think of a single good point about this place. With only two possible exceptions, the staff were masters of indifferent ignorance. The food was lamentable. I have always thought when checking trip advisor, that nowhere could be as bad as some people claim. I wish to God ihad taken notice of the ones for here!!

    Will not be returning

When we arrived we was very impressed by the outside of the hotel and the lobby area, looked nice and clean ..with a few weird furniture's. We got to our room having a broken balcony door and then broken glass, they used our tape and tapped the crack and did not change our room knowing we have a 2 year old with us. The room looked ok the floor was disgusting, walked bare foot for 5 minutes and then checked our feet it was black with dirt! The worrying thing was it was not only our room many other families we spoke to had this problem. This is because they mop the floor and tuck all the dirt under the bed, as we have seen whilest they cleaned our room. Talking about cleaning rooms. they change our sheets and give us towels but dirty cups and crumbs are still there when we return to our room. The bathroom for a tripple bedroom was awfully small with a shower that can fit 5 people you can only fit 2 in the actual bathroom! Other than that our room was ok ..we had a nice view but of the other hotel next to Lioness, was nice and quiet at night too. Food in the hotel was average. Same food for breakfast, same food for lunch and dinner, sometimes there will be something different. Left overs will be served the next day. The service in the restaurant is poor. Who ever comes first gets asked what drink they want. There indoor bar is not open. Also, there is no wifi unless you sit on the cow print sofas, still can be slow. For a 4* hotel this place was awful. From rooms, to food to staff! This didnt really affect me but majority of the people in the hotel are German, staff dont know english so its very hard to speak and explain something to them. The staff there do not even know about the actual area we had to find things out ourself. Not much outside the hotel you have to take the bus (coach) to shopping areas like Konakli. They have a Bazar 10 minutes walk from the hotel. Alanya is 30/40 minutes away from Lioness hotel. The beach is awful its broken up in sections for hotels, its packed and dos not look appealing. Families with prams will find it difficult, weve been to turkey twice and never seen pram slops this dangerous. Even tho they have slops you will have to go down the stairs as its not safe, the hotel also has a dangerous slop. Overall, i wouldnt advise anyone here.

" I KNOW NO-THING!!" The Fawlty Towers equivalent in Turkey!

This Hotel was advertised as a FOUR STAR when I booked my holiday. That it is certainly NOT!!! Hardly anyone that worked there spoke English, and the stafff seemed very demoralised. There was usually only one main lift working - for a hotel of over 500 rooms. The design , or layout for the Hotel was ill- conceived, because any time anyone downstairs in the Lobby made noise it could be heard by more or less every room. Inside the decor was spartan at best. the food was passable, but never that hot - except the soup bless it!!! Don t eat out in the resort town - I did - and was hospitalised! Not much else to say, other than, like the other reviewer for this Hotel, I wish I d read reviews before booking. I understand the Hotel is posssibly to be taken over by the nearby FIVE STAR "My Home " Hotel, which sadly is a little late for me......

    Lovely hotel

Hotel was excellent. The food was ok, we have all inclusive. In the beachbar the food was very delicious you have salads, fillets, fries e.t.c. Also, hotel has party at the night, like karaoke, folklore groups, dancing, bingo etc. In the front of the hotel has big pool with toboggan.
