Flying highWe went for lunch & was impressed so returned for dinner. Typical Balinese looking restaurant but built up on the decks above Mushroom Bay Beach, this place offers amazing views & a good variety of foods on the menu. Prices are the great low Balinese $ & good food. Being pregnant & cautious I was happy to see they offer vegetarian meals with tofu & tempura. Definitely worth a go

Most amazing location, but older bungalows need updatingWe would go here again for the location it is in; right on Mushroom beach, with a brilliant view of the sunset and all the boats in the bay. We were lucky to be updated to a larger bungalow, as the initial one was extremely dark. This one was light and fairly large with a big veranda and bathroom, which also had an outside shower. Overall though the state of the bungalow was very poor; the bathroom doors were falling apart, the from entrance door had to be wrestled open each time and had a gap off the frame of 3 to 4 cm, allowing mozzies in. The lighting in the room at night was very poor, there is no television or coffee making facilities. Apart from the receptionist Wayan and snorkeling instructor Made, the staff's morale seemed very low and nobody ever smiled. The included breakfast lacked variety and was always cold. We did not eat dinner here, but there are many restaurants just up the beach. There are about 7 or 8 newer style high set bungalows, which might be better than the one we stayed in. The pools were cloudy and most days a large group of Chinese tourists would come and use the pool, have lunch and go snorkeling in the ocean out the front of the hotel. The wifi was free, but very sporadic.

A bit rusty and neglectedMushroom Bay has lot of nice ingredients - beautiful view from terrace, fancy "infinite" swimming pool, cosy bungalows, good massage service. Unfortunately lot of things require improvement -in some bungalows aircon was not functioning, bungalows with bedroom upstairs are not very comfortable (one has to go out and around for bathroom), rooms were not cleaned daily, staff seems not to care about anything than making sure you are charged for every drop of water, breakfast selection is poor. The beach at the foot of hotel is not very friendly too - lot of traffic from boats, paddles, banana rides etc. At first we quite liked the place - after two nights it was enough. I don't know Lembogan too well, but it ought to have better choices.

Beautiful Spot for dinner - this is not a review of the accommodationsWe didn't stay in the bungalows but ate in the restaurant. Food was good, good prices and pleasant and friendly service. We chose shrimp and avocado salad which was really nice as well as a pumpkin curry and tomato spaghetti. All were very nice. Great in the off season (we were here in March) so you can somewhat avoid idiot, noisy tourists and appreciate the tranquillity of the place. Being an Aussie I am constantly disappointed by how my fellow countrymen behave in front of the beautiful Balinese people. If you are a non smoker you will also find there is no smoking ban in restaurants here so tourists seem to light up like it's their last day on earth -_- On this occasions I wish it was.

Very tiredWould not stay at this resort again. Staff were friendly and the food was good. Views were superb from the dining and lounge areas. New cottages being constructed but unfortunately the existing bungalows and bathrooms needed some major upgrading , however the linen was clean, air conditioning supplied along with a mosquito net over the bed. Rooms were not serviced for the three nights we were there but we could get clean towels. Steps into the bungalow and down to the outside bathroom were a health and safety risk. Grounds and pools needed some major work. Staff were friendly. Expensive for what we got.
