Use of facilities...I was in Icmeler about to use the phone box next to Olyum Park Hotel. Due to a medical condition I needed the toilet urgently. I felt awkward and anxious about asking any establishment (hotel or restaurant) to use their facilities but as you might appreciate didn't really have a choice. I also felt a bit vulnerable as a young single woman dressed up for dinner. I walked in to Olyum Park Hotel to ask to use their toilet, expected to be told no, that I would need to buy a drink from the bar or something or to be made to feel uncomfortable in terms of my status as young single woman dressed up. The 3 male staff members I was greeted by were nothing but friendly and professional and only too happy to let me use their toilet. I was left to get on with it and then able to leave without any obligation to buy anything or to explain myself. The hotel lobby and bathrooms were clean and well maintained. I just got a lovely feeling from the hotel staff and wanted to leave a review, I acknowledge it's strange!

horrible place :(I don't know where to start from.. the bathroom maybe. A shower was completely blocked, I have asked the receptionist to have it fixed. The guy came to the bathroom holding a half of a plastic water bottle trying to unblock the drainage with it.. what the hell? Obviously he failed stating he would call the cleaning service to sort it out. I was told It was fixed but when I came back to the room the shower was still blocked.. I simply gave up and continued taking a 2 minute shower for a week (after 2 mins the water was flooding the bathroom) The hotel itself and dining place are filthy with dirt, no one cleans this place, really. Indeed, the cleaning ladies come every day and wipe the floor in a bathroom and a sink, but that's about it. The gentleman from the service crew (young chaps pretending they are waiters) were hanging around being constantly bored or just taking the food from the plates for the quests and they had a priority in eating the food I have paid for. For the breakfast, If you got up too late ( 8.30 was already considered as too late) the food was gone and if yo uasked for more milk they would say they had no more (usually, they were putting 3 cartons of milk on a table and that's it). In the end, to have your breakfast you really need to get up early in the morning. To keep it short in regards to the food served - basic, every day the same; breakfast very boring, lunch and dinner bearable. Tea and coffee were only available in styrofoam cups (worse than on a petrol station). Itaka should be ashamed of selling such a holiday offer.. I do recommend a trip to Efez though as the lady from who was a tour guide was really fantastic and knowledgable. Don't go to Pamukkale with Itaka - they will take you to the company making leather jackets where you will spend most of the day instead of enjoying Pamukkale itself (for entire day trip where you get on a bus at 6 am and off it at 8.30 pm there are only 2 hours to enjoy the place..) All in all - no value for money. This is not a hotel but an "otel" and this is a huuuuge difference. This place bearly meets basic expectancy :(

if you are british do not gothis hotel was a very nice, clean, and friendly hotel , however the food was very very very poor . they catered for polish and Russian holiday makers not british and they did not care. I am not a fussy eater but it really was horrible , the rooms are nice and cleaned just about every day, the owner of the hotel (Toran) seems to treat his staff like dirt , and he was complaining that to many drinks were being consumed by the holiday makers (it is all inclusive) , he was not a very nice man and looked like he could do with a good wash.the bar staff were superb , torgan was great , always happy to help as were most of the staff . the wee gardener was very nice and kept the hotel gardens in superb order . I just wish the food was up to standard and it would have made our holiday special, all I can say is the polish and Russian delighted with the food (easy pleased if you ask me lol) the food also was cold and did not help that a huge fan was blowing all the time. overall not a bad holiday but need to serve "BETTER QUALITY FOOD"

DisappointingStayed here mid September for 10 days. Rooms basic, beds comfortable, air con in rooms. Tap came off the shower but was fixed when asked. Rooms were cleaned to a fashion everyday, new towels , beds made, but the floors were disgusting and we're not swept or cleaned. Food - well what can I say. I'm not a fussy eater, I love Turkish food and I'll try most things but this was pretty awful. Breakfast consisted of bread (no toaster), meats and tomatoes, hard boiled eggs, cold spicy hot dog sausages, rock hard baked beans, juice from a machine, coffee , tea from a machine in foam cups, lunch was the best meal of the day, salads, pasta, chips, soup, 3 hot dishes, normally a chicken dish, meatballs and a fish dish , some cakes, not much change day to day and no chance of getting butter for your bread for some reason. Evening meal was pretty poor, I only ate there the 1st night, then looked the others and it looked awful so ate out. Again only 3 hot dishes, fish, chicken drumsticks and a meat dish most nights. At 4pm the put some biscuits and cake out. No snacks or ice creams available. Drinks were cheap alcohol , they did give good measures but whisky, brandy was extra, as was cocktails. The owner was the most miserable person if every met, one night a few people were having a bit of a dance near the bar where he was sat watching a Turkish football match, he turned the music off and turned the volume up on his football. The staff don't like him, it's a shame as most of the staff are very nice and do a good job, especially the bar staff but he's watching over them all the time. There's very little atmosphere around the hotel. The pool area is ok, a lot of the sunloungers are in the shade for most of the day, you can get wifi all round the hotel and pool if you want. The location is great, in the middle of icmeler 5 mins to the beech and close to bars etc. I wouldn't stay here again and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. You could get better for cheaper around icmeler. Overall v disappointed with the hotel although I had a great holiday.
