  Same number as its stars...

  Why should a 3 star hotel necessarilly deserve to get a 4 or 5 point rating? On the other hand, it is always a disappoitnment for the many small missing things: like a proper Internet (the signal is weaker than a dying person's pulse - I had to stay in the breakfast room to work). However, I keep as a bright memory the very polite receptionist.

  Disappointed

  The man at the reception was king enough to help us with our luggage up the upstairs. The hotel is centrally located very close to city centre and shops. Wifi was useless in our room. I asked at the reception and was told it was due to us being on the 2nd floor. So much for free wifi. We could not get to sleep due to the noise outside, music blaring and so much shouting. I advised the young lady at the reception but she did not seem to care. Thank god we only stayed one night.

  Be aware if you book this hotel

  Have you ever been locked out of your hotel? No one there? No clerks, no staff, nothing but a note on the door. "We texted you the code for the front door and your room" Well I don't text when I'm in Europe. We had to walk to find a cafe where the staff let me call the hotel number. I could barely hear them. I told them to email me the info. The cafe had free WiFi. We finally made it to the room, overlooking a busy noisy street. No A/C. Had to close the window and swelter. The dining room was empty. No tables, no food, not a cup of coffee to be had. We had to park the car in an underground garage a few blocks away, no help there either. They could have explained all this by email when I was asking about a booking back in July!

  Excellent stop in Linz

  Nice and clean hotel. We made all the reservation via booking.com. Very easy to find - located in centrum - and parking facilities near the hotel. You enter with a code to the hotel and the room. Very recommendable and price affordable.

  Weird, loud, overpriced youth hostel experience

  On a positive note, it was quite clean. Sadly, it was very noisy... but in addition to the odd spray painted cow face looming in front of the bed, the artist had added special little details of steaming cow excrement, complete with flies. Decor leaves a lot to be desired. The worst part was that the shower not only didn't drain, but seemed to backwash water from the pipes (it was dirty). There was also no shower curtain so the bathroom was just one big grotty puddle the whole time we were there. Informed staff, but they weren't interested. Location, I will begrudgingly admit, was fantastic. Sushi place and cinema bar on same road were great.
