  Our new go to spot

  My husband, pup and I stayed here and cannot say enough good things about this amazing place. We come to VT almost every weekend in the winter to ski and this is the best place weve ever stayed. Its about 20 minutes from the mountain in the most beautiful setting. The cabin was spotless and felt like home. We loved the extensive trails on the property and the gas fire place the cabin had. The bathroom is spacious and having laundry was a game changer. The cabin comes with everything you need and everything worked great. Christine is very responsive and so nice. Looking forward to many more stays!

  Peace and tranquility is an understatement!

  We recently spent three nights at The Muddy Moose in Morrisville, seeking in Vermont lodging and snowshoeing opportunities. The Muddy Moose was the perfect find and we will visit again and again! Literally at the end of a country road, the views are spectacular! We were eager to snowshoe on their four miles of trails which were fantastic! We mostly stuck to the groomed (atv) trails which were plenty for us to navigate down to the Lamoille River, the waterfall at Jacobs Creek and check out hundreds of deer and animal tracks. The view from the banks of the Lamoille were awesome. The trails are not only partially groomed, yes there are ungroomed trails for you younger folk, but they are very well marked with markers, you are here trail maps adding to the experience. Gorgeous! The cabin we stayed in was clean, well stocked with towels, toilet paper, shampoo, conditioner and body wash. It was tastefully decorated with art and artifacts. The kitchen was good size with well presented dinnerware, glassware, silverware, etc. You will not find someone elses olive oil or ketchup, thank you!!!!! They even leave a shopping bag for you to use and return if you have to run to the grocery store. Very well thought out. And washer, dryer, dishwasher! New and updated. The radiant floor heat and gas woodstove were incredible additions. The game room with foosball, pool table, chess, couple of pin ball machines and other entities was great! Yes, excellent for children but we two older adults loved it and returned every day. There is a bathroom in it with two gas wood stoves to keep us warm in very frigid weather! Christine and Chuck were very welcoming in the Welcome Center, the little bit of swag is awesome! Peace and tranquility? Thats an understatement, we love The Muddy Moose and we will return, very soon!

  Warm and cozy with everything you need.

  Stayed here for 3 nights/4 days. The cabin has everything you need. A full kitchen. Heated floors. Very clean. The cabin we stayed in was also ADA compliant which is really cool. The views from the cabin are beautiful. Also, the trails right outside our door were well kept. Im already wanting to come back soon.

  WOW- exceeded expectations!

  Stayed for 3 nights/4 days for a ski trip to Stowe. Only a half hour from the mountain and about 15 minutes to the town- the Muddy Moose was amazing! Cute touches throughout the cabin and a remote start gas fireplace made this place feel like home immediately. We didn't want to leave! The owners seem to think of everything as the kitchen is fully stocked (and then some) for all cooking needs, as well as providing a bag to use when grocery shopping. Having laundry and laundry detergent in the cabins turned out to be a big plus as well. Owners also provide a binder full of tips to enjoy the area-I can't wait to come back!

  Muddy Moose review

  We had an amazing stay at Muddy Moose! The accommodations were perfect. Everything was very clean and the kitchen was very well stocked to prepare meals. We were hesitant to stay at first fearing the 30 minutes drive to Stowe Mountain would be too much . This ended up not being the case since the ride is very scenic and the cabin was conveniently located to multiple grocery stores / restaurants. Chuck and Christine were wonderful - very available and informative about the area. We LOVED our stay and hope to get back there soon .
