  Ideal Place in Haeundae

  My 86-year-old mother and I had a wonderful stay at the MS Hotel, a small, reasonably priced and yet ideal hotel in Haeundae, Busan. The staff were very accommodating, kind, courteous and smiling, especially to my mother. They spoke basic English so communication was not a problem. They also gave directions as to how to go to places via the subway which was located nearby. The location was perfect: just a stone-throw away from the famous Haeundae Beach which could be seen with breathtaking views through the hotel room window. We got to see the spectacular fireworks festival from the Diamond Bridge in the comfort of our hotel room. There were numerous Korean restaurants, convenience stores and Korean cosmetics stores in the neighborhood. The Haeundae market and Starbucks Reserve were also nearby. Just across the hotel was the Busan Aquarium. The hotel could be easily accessed via taxi from the airport (30 minutes away, approximately KRW 30,000). The subway train was located a leisurely 5-10-minute walk away. Our room was very clean, with functioning air conditioning system, hot shower, fridge, and free wifi. The room had just enough space for movement. The bed, pillows and blankets were very comfortable. Breakfast was complimentary: just the basic... bread, egg, fruits, milk, etc, but with overflowing, 24-hour hot coffee. The MS Hotel gets our approval and recommendation. My mother and I will definitely stay again in this hotel.

  Spectacular Seaside Hotel

  Our room looked out over the Bay. It was a long skinny room so that the view was maximised. I could see the sea from the shower. When you go down to breakfast you set on stools at one long breakfast bar looking out at the sea. The rooms are very comfortable and well appointed. It is definitely on my plans to go back one day

  Very pleasant hotel with friendly service

  I liked this hotel a lot. It was a little bit hard for me to find at first, because the lobby is not on the ground floor, so I walked past the entrance a few times trying to find it. You go in through another building and up an escalator to get to the lobby. But once I arrived, all was good. The front desk staff spoke English well enough and were super friendly and helpful. My room was really pretty and comfortable. I had a big, big window, which opened out onto the beach front (Haeundae Beach) across the street. The location was very nice and I loved being so close to the water. For a clean and comfortable hotel right on the water, I think the price was a very good deal. I would definitely stay here again, and recommend it.

  Saved the best till last!

  I have to admit my review is slightly biased due to my love of Busan, but regardless, MS Hotel still warrants receiving 5 stars for several reasons. Location is superb; the hotel is just an 8 minute walk from the metro station, and the limousine bus from/to Gimhae International Airport also stops just a few metres from the hotel. You are also situated directly across the road from the beach, and surrounded by a plethora of coffee shops, bars and restaurants. But despite being so central I was not disturbed by any external noise. My room was huge and extremely comfortable. I also had a gorgeous view of the beach from my room. A basic breakfast of toast, jam, yogurt, juice and coffee was provided. Theres no seating, so you collect your breakfast and take it back to your room. Its perfectly adequate, but if youre looking for something more substantial there is plenty of choice outside. Check-in was efficient, and I was allowed to access my room a few hours early. I had an early start on the day of my departure, and again checkout was seamless. I absolutely loved Busan, and I sincerely hope to return one day. Haeundae Beach is often overlooked as its not necessarily close to most of the major attractions, but the area was recommended to me by a friend, and although you do spend a fair bit of time travelling whilst exploring (which is the same for anywhere in South Korea) Haeundae Beach really is a fantastic area to stay. If ever I am lucky enough to return to Busan, I will most certainly be booking MS Hotel again.

  Very Bad Experience in Busan.

  The Room average clean (found some hairs), good view and quiet for the most. The price a bit stiff for the amenities the room has, but I can overcome this. The Staff at the reception placed us in a room where there was a construction and renovation going on. The staff tried to be accommodation to a point, but the staff does not speak English AT ALL. It was very frustrating to ask for directions, assistance of any kind and later when we showed our frustration the staff started to act weird around us. I find incredible that in South Korea's second biggest city, the staff at an International Hotel CANNOT Speak English. Additionally the hotel is placed in a building with several other hotels each one overtaking 2 or 3 floors. Therefore the waiting time in front of the elevators was exhausting. All in all a very bad experience and on top of that this hotel has no restaurant and hotel free private parking just does not exist. Highly disappointed as the staff neither said goodbye, no sorry, as if we were never there or our business was irrelevant.
