  enjoyed the holiday only downside was the food,room and staff great ,we also enjoyed the nights,we will go back again to this hotel, as it is so cheap to eat out,the beach was great the hotel had their own private part and we could get drinks there to.if you go to this hotel check the information about breakages as they will charge you and they also check your room before you leave in case you take any items from your room .

  3* rated all inclusive hotel, err not quite!!!

  Ok. So the hotel is located in the middle of the strip overlooking the sea, brilliant location. Has a part of the beach just for hotel guests. Each room is allocated 2 sunbeds and an umbrella. Lovely, has a 'beach bar' for drinks. Wonderful. The rooms are clean and adequate for Sleeping and getting changed in. Cleaned most days. Hotel generally ok. The pool area is ok. Not enough sunbeds for all the guests but you've got the beach area. So hotel, clean, rooms ok, pool ok, beach lovely. THE FOOD!!! Please believe every review which says it's rubbish, we didn't and spent 6 days out of 7 eating out. Breakfast, cheap cereals, ham, cheese, stale bread, cooked ham not bacon, well fried eggs,stale croissants, hot dog chipolatas, beans, mushrooms, bread for toast that needs a couple of goes in the toaster for crispy edges. Margarine and a few jams. A lot of herbal teas, juice and water. Freshly made pancakes. That's the best meal of the day. Lunch and dinner, salad, ham, cheese, pasta, cheese sauce, tomato sauce, cold fries, meat usually pork, chicken drumsticks, fried cheese in breadcrumbs, fish. This is the same menu everyday. If your food is cold a microwave is provided to heat your food. Drinks are tea, coffee, soft drinks, water, beer and wine. Fruit, ice cream, and a selection of cakes for dessert. This sounds wonderful, but when you are confronted with the same menu everyday and the food is bland, we chose to eat out. Wrote a comment about the food in the comments book while we were staying at the hotel. Staff are generally friendly. Back to the rooms, the bathroom is like a wet room,the shower is in the corner with no curtain or screen, unfortunately the water doesn't drain away as quick as it comes out so you end up standing in dirty water and it can escape into the hallway. Also, a quick trip, put the toilet roll outside while having a shower. Everything gets wet. Bulgaria, lovely country, hotel average, hotel food terrible. Would I go back to sunny beach, err, not to this hotel. Views are from room 1008.

  Great location

  Firstly we were moved to this hotel because our original hotel, Boomerang, which was at the back of the resort, was closed. Result. The reason I have given it 4* is because of the location at the beach & the friendly bar/restaurant & lobby staff. We had Room 216 with a very poor view on top of the restaurant, but hey the room was just fine, with a large double bed, kettle, fridge & wetroom shower. The Hotel is shared with the Astoria where you have the same facilities except the restaurants which were separate, although the Orel retaurant was closed for the season. Food was plentiful with plenty of salads, meats, soup & sweet etc. It did tend to be repetitive & cold to tepid warm, but ok. Alcohol was reasonable, but steer clear of the Mojito (mouthwash). All other cocktails were good. Holiday makers consisted of mostly British with other nationalities German, Russian etc. We made some lovely friends at the hotel as it is fairly small & hence you tend to make friends that little bit easier. The strip is about a 10minute stroll once you have passed all the clothing & souvenir kiosks. Loads of bargains to be had!!! There was a small issue with the grumpy security man at the beach gate. Also an occasion in the early hours where I had been drugged at a bar across the road & I was in no great state to move, but lobby security wanted to call the police. Luckily I had a friend help me eventually get to my room. I did not report it in the morning as I was quite embarrassed. Outwith this incident we still enjoyed our stay here, but would probably stay elsewhere next time Davy & Alison

  Excellent Hotel , Super Location

  Great central location & just been renovated . The only issue was the food and restaurant, especially if in the Oriel , very canteen like. The staff were overall v. friendly. Beach had lots of free sun loungers as space around the poll limited

  Mpm orel hotel: the food was cold and there was no entertainment on it meant to be 3star I would give it 1 star and the staff was so unpleasant I will not be going back to that hotel again and the drinks was awful too.
