  Mixed reviews .......

  Couple of issues, when checking out we was presented with a bill for drink and food we never had, obviously someone had given my room number and had afternoon snacks courteous of me. I stated it wasnt mine but was told know one would do this so had to pay. The life guard is a miserable Rude man and behaved like he hated every guest that used his pool ... rest of the staff were great in the dining area and lobby bar. Decent room sizes, however extremely hot rooms even when all the radiators were turned off had the windows open most of the stay. Food was ok and could find something to eat most days. close to the main gondola and only a few mins walk to the main area of bars and restaurants. As a whole the hotel was ok just beware of your running room tab.

  Average in all aspects

  Good points: The location is very good only a few minutes from the Gondola and even closer to a decent supermarket. The Spa was decent but in need of a refurb. Beware of the life guard!! The food was adequate but not inspiring, salad bar and deserts were the highlight of the evening meal. But for a half board hotel there were no drinks other than water supplied with the evening meal. Breakfast was OK, the hot buffet wasn't great but a good selection of cold food was sufficient. Prices in the Bar and Mini Fridge were very reasonable. The Bad: Its very noisy, bring earplugs of you want to sleep before midnight. All rooms are arranged around the lobby which echos with the noise of guests drinking and kids running wild. The rooms are in dire need of refurbishment. The pool area is OK but again needs refurbished. They employ a couple of heavies in the lobby to make sure your not wearing ski gear/boots but don't care if kids are running around at night. The area around the hotel is a building site, scrubland and ugly. Overall I wasn't expecting too much from the hotel but it failed to deliver on most aspects. In my opinion its a 3 star at best trying but failing to be a 4 star.

  COMFY, CLEAN HOTEL.

  We had a good stay at the MPM Guiness. Rooms were comfy and spacious. A couple of niggles with the bathroom - shower door didn't close properly and leaked - sink leaked a bit - but didn't affect our stay. Clean towels every day and well stocked fridge - that was reasonably priced. Food in restaurant was mostly good - although less choice by the end of our week. Good breakfast before heading off to ski. A lovely touch was the 'simple' pack up that we got given when we arrived late - and when we left early (before breakfast). Really grateful for that when travelling with kids. overall a good stay. We loved the look of the atrium in the hotel (and the fire was amazing) - - could be a little noisy - however when on holiday it's ok. Thanks very much MPM Guiness.

  Money stolen on Day 1

  Only been here one day and £300 has been stolen out of my room! Only the hotel and my room mate have access to my room yet the hotel are not taking any responsibility! Unless you want to keep your valuables on you at all times DO NOT STAY HERE

  Relaxing yet close to the town and Gondola!

  A great hotel, less than 10 mins from Pirin Street and the Gondola station. The restaurant was excellent - a great choice of international and traditional dishes each night in a buffet style. The room was great - we had a small balcony, sofa, fridge (which was a bit noisy) and small kitchen area. The pool and sauna area was nice, however kids splashing, jumping and shouting made it not as relaxing as we'd hoped for! A massage on our last day was welcomed however and worked out at £20 for 30mins - very relaxing and worthwhile after 3 days on the slopes! The bar drinks were cheap however avoid the mpm house red wine!! Pay more for something better! The music in the bar area was very amateur and felt like someone was sat clicking through YouTube putting their favourite songs on. Some songs would end suddenly half way through and others would be turned up so much that the speakers couldn't cope. If suggest just putting on a CD - some of the repetitive dance tracks went on and on!! The only other negative was the lift closest to our room - when we called it from the third floor it went to the fourth or fifth... And nobody got in... I think the electronics need testing!
