  Great location and super view

  I had dinner at restaurant of the Mount Pleasant Hotel. View is excellent, food is ok. View of city is stunning. It is recommended to go in evening so that one can enjoy sunset and late evening 9night) view of city.

  Fantastic night city view

  It was a night with clear sky, we could see stars all over the place, with shimmering lights of the city, a very good place for couples to have some wine and food. The staffs are attentive and friendly.

  Wonderful but ....

  Our small travel group stayed here in April 2019 for several days (after a previous visit in August 2018). The main advantage of Mt. Pleasant View is its mountain location from where you have a wonderful view. Furthermore the climate there is much better than downtown, less heat. The hotel offers several type of rooms. Standard, superior, deluxe, suites and so on. Actually all are not bad .... depending on their conservation status and here comes the problem. Most of the woorden balconies, verandas are in extremly bad shape. Some (on a slope) you better should not enter since you risk to break trough. The rooms have seen better days, all lack of really needed maintenance and many of the roofs / windows aren`t tight anymore. Breakfast there is burmese/asian buffet. It´s nothing special but really OK. From the main restaurant, with beautiful veranda (still ok), you have a beautiful view and the offered food was good. The hotel employees are courteous and polite. Is it worth to stay here? Well, the cost benefit ratio isn`t good due to the room conditions. But I like the location, its views and the escape from the downtown heat. For me it was and will be the decisive factor for another stay there.

  Excellent Service

  The thing that stands out about Mount Pleasant is the quality of service and warmth of the staff. Ive lived in Mount Pleasant for over a month. In this period, they have been extremely accommodating, making adjustments to my rooms furniture whenever I make requests or even on their own initiative. They have been helpful in aiding with the booking of buses from Naypyitaw to other cities as well as arranging taxis. I have also been touched by the attentiveness of the staff and little things they do, such as remembering my name. It is hard to overstate how good the service has been. In addition, Mount Pleasant has great views of the city from the top of the mountain and is close to nature. Walks in and around the hotel can be particularly enjoyable and the sunsets are beautiful. The downside is that the place is far from anything else a ride down the mountain to the nearest mall is about 10 mins. Because the hotel is in the mountain, insects frequently appear indoors.

  Good for staycation

  Most of the rooms are old and the woods in balcony are decayed. There are only 2 rooms renovated (325/326). We asked for these renovated rooms but got one. Unfortunately when we arrived, both renovated rooms are occupied. The staffs explained that there were errors in booking. Finally they managed the customer to move to another room and we got one room. We arrived at noon and told the staffs we will be having lunch but at 2 pm the rooms are not ready yet. The staffs hospitality is great. Breakfast is below per. The only attraction there is the incredible scene and cool weather. Good for staycation.
