Everything was greatStayed in a 2 bed 2 bath river ridge condo. Everything was clean including the hot tub on the back deck. Beds were comfy. My husband and son walked down to the river to do some fishing and we all enjoyed the pool. Kayla and Kaitlin were very helpful booking this unit over the phone. Beautiful place, we will be back

Lots of Extra ChargesThe positive: Site of conference that I was attending, so very convenient. - Reasonably pleasant and quite large condominium unit. - Beautiful location - Pleasant people at front desk. - Rent listed as $488 for four nights which seems like a good deal - Courteous personnel during telephone reservations and correction calls, but no ability to stop the repeat requests for contract signature on incorrect prior reservation. - Delicious morning coffee at the office. The negative: - Booking fee $75.64, even though i booked with Meredith Lodging which owns and oversees Mount Bachelor Village Resort - Cleaning fee $110.00 even though we were required to - Make our own bed - Strip all sheets upon leaving - Place all towels in the same area upon leaving - No daily cleaning - No towel replacements unless we requested them and received them from the office and transported them back to our unit. - Run the dishwasher prior to leaving - Dispose of rubbish - Actual cleaning after our departure would have taken housekeeper or other employee less than an hour. I would estimate that her share of the cleaning fee was between 10% and 20% of the $110. - Unit was clean enough, but paint was stored in one of the two closets along with other repair materials. - Furniture was pretty old. - Mattress pad was badly torn in two places indicating that this had NOT been taken care of in previous "cleanings." -Tax of $82.18. If this was only for the $488, then there is no complaint, but if it included booking fee and cleaning then part of this was another hidden charge. -Booking was somewhat problematic. I requested four nights, but initial contract was for three nights. Several calls got this rectified, but at least seven emails followed from time of reservation to time of arrival requesting contract signing for the error 3-night reservation despite the successful signing of the revised 4-night reservation. - Resort advertised its bicycles, but all bicycles had been placed in storage for the winter. This mostly makes sense, except the weather during our stay would have been ideal for bicycling. I did sign the 4-night contract that listed charges, so that I consented to them, but they still seem excessive, since they elevated the rent charge by about 50%. My advice would be to stay in a hotel. You get daily towel change and basic room cleaning and charges mostly make sense.

If you don't mind a hot room, old and needs a remodel and a shower that might work stay here. What we paid a night this place was a DUMP. It is completely luck of the draw if you get a nice refurbished unit or a DUMP. Stayed in the Ski Lodge, unit was partially remodeled, no closed master bedroom and the other room was OLD bunk beds. Best part it had crappy A\C when we arrived at 7pm AC was not on and it was 90 plus in the room. It took half the night for the room to cool down. It gets better we where taking a shower and a person below us came up and said they had water running down the wall. Leaky shower. Meridith Lodging turn down the AC before guests arrive, state what condition a room is in and fix the broken stuff!

Bonus Early Check-in not a BonusWe had reservations for one of the River Ridge condo units, just the A portion which includes the kitchen and deck with a hot tub. We got an email a few days before our trip that said we could get a bonus day added on for a discounted price. I called the Meredith Lodging operator and she said the night just prior was open. We couldnt actually leave until the day of our reservation so the operator suggested an early check-in for a nominal fee. That sounded like a good idea because a noon check in time would make it easier to get settled in rather that a 5 pm check in. We got to the condo a little after noon and tried the key code that was give to us. It didnt work. The office got us in, contact free. The condo had not been cleaned. Bedding was piled on top of the bed, coffee still in the coffee maker, dirty dishes in the dishwasher. We are still waiting on housekeeping because apparently there was a mixup in communication and the last guests were here until maybe an hour before we got here because they had asked for a bonus day. Nothing like cleaning a dirty toilet because you need to use it. The only option given was to wait at the pool or club house. Im not sure how this happened when all of the reservations and changes were made via a computer. Going to the office didnt help, especially since all of the guests could not comprehend the sign that said to wear a mask in the office. We were trying to make this a low person to person contact trip. Not quite working out that way. Weve stayed here in the past and have had good experiences but I think well try something else other than Meredith Lodging next time.

Did not get to actually stay thereTrip was set up, all planned out. Had called the condo several times for questions we had. Very polite staff. Kids were excited, bags were packed, dog was being driven to the kennel. We got a call the afternoon before we were supposed to check into the condo telling us that we could not come because the condo owner had decided to be quarantined in the condo. The lady that called us felt bad, said she had no openings of any sort and could do nothing for us other than refund our money. I stated that they had ruined our entire vacation, and there was nothing they could do for us? She said the whole situation would be forwarded to the upper office and we should hear from them. Never heard a word from anyone. Our money did get refunded. We had to give them 30 days notice to cancel for any reason buy they called the afternoon before and oh well. Would be very leary of booking here again if there is no guarantee that you will get the condo you rented.
