  Almost a disaster

  Booked on at the Mouikis hotel in Agostoli. We had mistakenly been booked into Mouikis VILLAGE hotel by the travel company. The latter is about 6-7 miles outside the town (ie from where we wanted to be)ans our chosen one was fully booked up by the time we arrived. The Village hotel is pleasant enough. Nice pool and views but it's only 2 stars. Remember that when thinking of your room. Basic. Needs money spent on them. Plus it's in middle of nowhere. Taxi each way into Agostoli is about 12-13. All adds up over a couple of days or so back and forth. When in the town eat at Casa Grec restaurant. Lovely courtyard. Real nice food.

  Mouikis village for Dinner

  We have visited the Mouikis village for dinner as we decided we liked the view and the relaxed atmosphere and were pleasantly surprised by the quality of food. Meat pies baked indivudually for us (takes about 30 minutes) and so was the dessert we chose (about another 20 minutes). Both were delicious and managed the wait by nibbling on other appetizers and drinking nice wine and cold beers. Not your average hotel food and worth visiting as the prices are also very reasonable. Pet friendly hotel as well since the owners feed the stray cats around there.

  Yummeee lunch

  This is a very friendly place to stay with a wonderful pool bar and restaurant, it's located in Lakithra so makes it ideal for short airport transfers. The views are stunning, I often pop in for a superb lunch from their varied menu (vegetarians can also find scrummy food). Clean, friendly, good location, I can not fault Mouikis Village and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the island.

  Amazing Holiday

  Spent my 50th birthday at the Mouikis,spotless traditional Greek accommodation with really friendly staff. They really could not do enough for us, Delicious food and fantastic views,great base to travel around the island. Will be back!!!

  Mouikis village Lakithra bad experience

  Advantages: - very nice view, fantastic - also the Swimmingpool, big enough - very cheap, 57 per day - the food is good - wifi in the area of the pool and near the reception Disadavantage; - it is also allowed for local peoples to stay there. They must consume something, thats all. on weekends there are a lot of birthday parties. Its just to make more money - we had a horrible situation. Somebody breaks in in our bungalow number 18 and stole 300 and a hour. We asking for help at the reception. The man call to the owner and he said, we had to call to the policy by her self. So we call our local friend to help us. The man on the reception saw that and offer to call to the police. After 45 min. The policy came and did here job. After a lot of interviews some employees talk rude words to us because we say all 5 minutes a other story. I said to the man on the reception i want to speak with the owner about this situation. This is a no go, staff should help their guests because they dont know about the languages and the government policys. Ok, So the man from the reception said ok, he will call him. The next day we ask when the owner will be here to talk. The man on the reception said. He dont will come, we can say our problems to him. So we understand that the owner are not care about their guests. - in the room is no telefon and no wifi - to use the safe in the room, you have to pay 10 per week. There is only 1 key. If you will loose it there are no possibilities to open the safe. For safety reason if you want to gave the key to the reception. The man says, he will not take the key because, if something is missing they have to care about and maybe the guest says, maybe somebody from the employees stole some things. So there is no trust to the guests.
