  Needs some serious upgrading

  Stayed here with my Wife and child. Room seemed o.k, a little outdated. Bathroom had a vanity which was all cracked in the basin and had bits missing off the edges of the vanity. Behind the door caulk from between the tiles was falling out on the floor. The first night we were there, I sat on the bed and the bed leg fell off. I managed to get some pieces of wood from the assistant manager to prop it up for the night. I had to go and see the office again the next day in the afternoon to see if they could replace the base for which they did. Room had a night store type heater which didn't do a lot to heat the room while it was cold so had to ask for another heater. Room was quiet enough between the other rooms but very loud through the front door. Bed was comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful when approached. The place just needs some major upgrading. Cabinetry and furniture very outdated and furniture faded. First motel I have stayed at that had no telephone or information pack for guests. For the cost per night for this motel, I would pay more to stay somewhere else nicer.

  Needs upgrading and poor value for money

  Great location and on the main routes to Newmarket, Parnell and the CBD. But that was all that it had going for it. For a motel of its price range, it had very limited facilities: no bar or catering; no pool; no phone; and no service such as information about attractions in the area. Rooms were tatty and old, cracks in the basin, something akin to a camping stove, and no central heating and air conditioning. Rooms are noisy as they are close to the Southern Motorway. The website is out-of-date and overstates the quality of the rooms and facilities. I would avoid this hotel and find something of a higher standard. It appeared to be being renovated but the new owners are making a mistake by trying to keep the inn running during this time.

  Average but clean

  This was a very basic motel and after reading the reviews done by the motel itself on the website we were worried but it was clean and comfortable. There was no air conditioning which was a bit of a worry but there was a fan and luckily it was not hot nights. The curtains were a bit thread bare and the bathroom didn't have any power points for the hairdryer. As I said basic but ok.

  The worse hotel I have stayed in for some years.

  We arrived with a sports team at around 4.30pm and were given keys to the rooms, a large number had not been cleaned. Dirty dishes still where the last guests had left them. Some had been cleaned. A lot of the equipment in rooms didn't work, like the fridge. Passed on to the staff nothing was done. The rooms all had infestations of Ants. We were told there was ownership change but not sure if the new ones where working or not but this may have contributed to the poor service.
