  Review of Walnut Creek Motel 6

  We usually stay at this Motel 6 when visiting family in Walnut Creek. They know us and are accommodating. For the price, it is centrally located, clean and has been updated. We will be back again during the next family crisis.

  Average for the price

  Stayed 2 nights with my wife in April. The Hotel is OK for the price if you manage to get a good position room. The Motel has a major highway on 1 side and a 6 lane road on the other side. OK you can hear noise and it is not great for light sleepers. Rooms have TV, WiFi is charged on a 24 hr basis (per item), rooms are small and bathroom adequate. Free car parking and is a 15 minute walk to the BART station and then 40 mins via BART into San Fransisco. Check in staff were very polite and helpful.

  Weird receptionist

  Booked a room for business guest. We arrived late at night after long road trip to drop the guest off at the motel . The receptionist on duty Karla( or Carol) was not able to find the reservation saying that they have tech issues with hotels.com. Upon presenting her the confirmation she started looking into availability. Then she decided that she does not want us there. Why???? Because my friends who were talking outside by the car seemed weird to her. She refused to check our guest in. Also, called the police. We had to look for a hotel room in the middle of the night and deal with the cancelation. Got home at 3 am thanks to paranoid receptionist. Not going to book with motel 6 again.

  You get what you pay for

  The room was clean, the bathroom and shower decent, but it is generally a rather depressing experience. There is coffee at reception in the morning but not in the room and there is no breakfast facility. If there is a next time I will probably pay a few mor bucks and stay at the Marriott next door.

  Nasty

  When me and my family got there I seen 3 cockroaches run out the room. Then after that we were getting ready for bed and there was blood on the floor and wall and the bed sheets were still dirty and loud bathroom wouldnt recommend
