  Well, it's a Motel 6- cheap and quick, but don't expect a lot

  We picked a pretty tough weekend as it was the night of a football game and a fair (maybe county?) so we had difficulty getting a room. This one was cheap, and I was thankful for that. Pros: The location was good for our purposes. Parking was easy and there was plenty of it. The lady at the front counter was very nice. Our room was clean- they have laminate floors, so you don't get that icky feeling of hotel carpet. The room was surprisingly big! There was a dorm-sized fridge and also a microwave. There were plenty of outlets, even some in between the beds. The bathroom was old but clean. The pool was really clean when we went- my daughter went in it. Cons: Not a great nights sleep. It was loud from outside and upstairs, the bed was not comfortable, the blankets were old and had holes in them. The AC was SO loud and turns on every 10-15 minutes! The room had no additional furniture- I'd recommend to put in a dresser at a minimum, but also maybe a desk, couch, etc. We had nowhere to put our clothes. No coffeemaker in the room :( No breakfast served either. No shower amenities. I would not recommend staying here for a long duration. For one night, using the room just as a place to sleep and get out quick in the morning, it was doable.

  A 3rd world country is better - than this place.

  Hot mess - stench was horrific. I check out in 10 - minutes - after checking in. Ended up at the best western down the road. Parking area cars had no wheels - or missing a few. Room was just horrible. Across from mine - door was open and carpets were being removed bad smoke smell. Please do not waste your time - not fit for kids much less adults. Run - to something else!

  Pass This One By

  I should have known better when I walked in and the humidity and chlorine smell hit me in the reception area (the pool is right there) and the clerk was yelling into the phone (dont know what it was about because not in English). No welcome. Stood there until he put the phone down and acted like I interrupted his call. Super unfriendly. In and out for four days, three nights and all of the staff were the same - acted like you were bothering them if they had to come out of their back room. Twice heard one of them yelling at someone on the phone about the charges. The whole place felt humid and yucky. No blanket on the bed. Sheets and a super thin bed cover. Guessing it was to keep you from turning air down while sleeping. Warm coffee in carafes at reception with those tiny styrofoam cups. Very thin walls. Awake between 12:30-2 in the morning because of upstairs guest. Nothing done until my second call. Just go on down the road.

  Mass Infestation of Roaches!!

  This motel 6 located in 7007 Woodway Dr Waco TX. has the worst infestation of Cockroaches that I've ever seen. My original Room 112 on the 1st floor had middle and large size cockroaches. I killed 2 with the bug spray that the front desk guy named Priyesh provided. Instead of having some house keeper go fix the problem, he just gave me the bug spray for me to do it myself. It was barely 5 pm and no housekeeper was available in the entire motel 6 of 3 floors. He originally gave me a $5 credit for the "little inconvenience" Priyesh also offered me another room on the 3rd floor, so I accepted the change of room but as soon as I opened the door for that room, there were tons of baby roaches on the floor. I have pictures and a video as evidence of all this. I have contacted the Waco Health Department regarding this serious health hazard situation. A lawsuit is just waiting to happen if one of those small roaches goes inside some guest's ear. As soon as I saw the 2nd room full with roaches, I was done. I checked out and asked for a full refund!! I went and stayed at another hotel that was actually clean. The front desk guy Priyesh couldn't care less of the problem and even seemed bothered when I asked him the name of the manager (Daine). I came to Waco for a power lifting event, and instead of resting the night before the competition, I had to worry about checking out and checking in at another hotel at 11pm at night. Having roaches in hotels is unacceptable, there is zero excuse for this!! Management in this Motel 6 needs to be held responsible for their lack of cleanliness!!

  Avoid at all costs!!

  My mother reserved a a two bedroom smoke free room 3 weeks in advance (without my fathers approval). Upon arrival we were told all the smoke free rooms were gone because it was first come, first serve. Seriously? They told us if the smell was too bad they could spray some febreeze. We decided we could last the night, I mean weve stayed in third world countries, how bad could it be? When you opened the door you could see the smoke in the room. The smell was horrendous! There was a creepy door that connected to the room next door and it was unlocked. There were hairs on the towels and spots in the tub. We stayed the night, but I had a dream that I got head lice. The next morning we decided to reserve a different hotel for our second night in town. Their one redeeming quality was that they refunded us for the second night. Overall it was the pits!
