  Excellent value

  This motel was a pleasant surprise. The room was very clean; the area for dogs was unexpected and welcome; and it was located only a mile from one of the best restaurants weve ever visited. Definitely will stay here again.

  Fine for a One Night Stopover

  Located a bit outside of town, but still close to I-40 or in my case coming down from Texas via Hwy 54 makes it pretty accessible. Unlike a lot of the old funky Route 66 motels you can find in Tucumcari, this one is pretty much a newer building and isn't like the motels around, but more modern with 2 stories. It's location means driving to get food and such rather than walking, but is fine for a quick over night stay. Room was a bit sub-par, however, and nothing amazing and kind of barren as the walls were all bare. The toilet was broken and fixed pretty haphazardly, the seat wouldn't stay still either and there had been a huge crack in the water part of the toilet that was pretty noticeable. Shower was fine, but there were no amenities at all, which I do believe a lot of Motel 6's have. Beds were a bit uncomfortable and the pillows weren't that great either, but doable for a single night on a stop over. Finally there were no obvious outlets near the bed, but if you move the small lamp table, you could find a single outlet. The staff and maid service though were really nice and friendly, so I gave the extra 3/5 just because of them...

  Nice aesthetics and chill vibe.

  This Motel 6 was very pleasant to stay at, from check in until check out. The front desk person was very friendly and shared information on nearby food/drink options. All the amenities we needed were present. The room was fair sized, not cramped but not too spacious either. There was no tub in our room, just a standing shower. If there was a negative at this location, it was the slow free wi-fi (~500 kbps) and poor reception of most channels on the TV. Other than that, it was a nice stay all around.

  No Queen beds only doubles

  The motel 6 website made a reservation for us with a queen bed and mini fridge. When we arrived and checked in we found two full size beds and no fridge. When I complained to the front desk he very politely told me "I am sorry sir we don't have those queen beds or mini fridges. The first time ever my wife and I slept in seperate beds. Had we known the truth about the facility we would not have reserved a room there.

  15 year old dog

  I told the guy at counter that I needed down stairs because I was traveling with 15 year old blind dog ,started to pay with 100.00 dollar bill he said I can't take that ,I asked why he said money shortage ,I said there is no money shortage bank said so ,he got a little up set and then said he had no rooms down stairs but there was only a few cars in parking lot I WILL NEVER AGAIN EVER STAY AT THIS MOTEL 6 NEVER.
