  One night stand

  I usually will not stop at a Motel 6 but TripAdvisors had a middle of the road rating so we tried it because of the rate. It was fine, comfortable and warm. Will be back through next week and will probably stop again

  Would not recommend

  I rely on reviews to help make a lot of travel choices so I thought I should contribute. Needed a quick overnight stay during our trip home. I immediately felt unsafe in the parking lot. Several adults just hanging outside the rooms. Parking lot not well lit. First room had a chirping smoke detector so they offered another room. Made the hike back to the front desk for a new room and requested a room away from guests that looked like they were going to pull an all nighter because we have children but said they didnt have anything else available. Walked past several adults outside smoking and the children started clinging to our side. Second room had peeling linoleum floors. Bathroom lights didnt work. Then we found hair (long and short) all over the shower floor. Daughter asked repeatedly to stay somewhere else because she felt uncomfortable. Husband immediately called the front desk and told him about the room condition and that we didnt feel comfortable staying. Front desk did give a refund but I would definitely not recommend this place for families with children, not even for a quick overnight stay. There are more options in the same area that are still budget friendly.

  Stay Away!!! This hotel is filthy!

  This hotel is filthy!!! We stayed the night of June 8th, 2020. The first room none of the outlets worked. Not even the tv, microwave and fridge. The second room didnt have hot water. After traveling 16 hrs I was too tired to move again!!! You would think theyd step up their game with Covid but they sure did not. I wiped down everything but the worst was after I cleaned the remote, light switches, phone and door handle! My Clorox wipe was brown! You could visibly see the grime on all of them!!!! Black hand prints on the bathroom door. How can a housekeeper miss that?!?! The sheets were stained or I hope they were but I wouldnt doubt it if they didnt bother to change them from the last guest considering the state of the rest of the room! Even the desk top and bedside table was dirty. Dust everywhere and I took a towel to the ceiling air vent and it was caked with dust! I should have been paid to clean the room since apparently we have to clean our own rooms! Weve stayed in many Motel 6s over the years because we travel with pets back and forth from the Midwest to the west and never had a bad experience until now. Tonight we switched to the Red Roof Inn and the place was spotless. Thanks to your disgusting hotel, Motel 6 has lost a customer. Ridiculous to charge people $70 for a Petrie dish of nasty! The only positive was the night clerk was very nice. All we expect from a budget hotel is cleanliness! Its no frills and normally perfect considering we occupying the room for less than 6 hours. Obviously housekeeping needs to be retrained or find another line of work! Id give this place a negative star if it was available!

  Less than expected

  We have stayed at this chain before and really enjoyed it. This time not so much! This was the worst night sleep Ive had in a hotel! I questioned the cleanliness when I saw a hair in the bottom of the shower (upon arrival before our use). It appeared clean but that made me question it. Then our air conditioning unit was not working. We think it may have been frozen. At midnight - after several hours tossing and turning in sweltering heat - we turned it on again and felt a small amount of relief. Ended up with a few hours of sleep :( To be fair, the check in process was excellent. The desk clerk was friendly, professional and efficient!

  Typical, good Motel 6 experience

  Typical Motel 6, good place, met my needs: comfortable bed, good TV, clean room. Was very busy with Sturgis homeward bound when I was hear, but property, staff kept things well organized. Very friendly and helpful guy running front desk.
