Pretty clean and fairly quietThe rooms were clean and fairly quiet for being right on 101. Very surprised that there was no alarm clock in the room or any USB plug in's. And you really need a curved shower rod. And rubber bath mats. Need more handicap parking spots.

Close to the Chinook Winds CasinoI chose this property because it was near the beach and walkable to the Chinook Winds Casino. The building itself was older but my room were clean, well kept and very large. I got there at 1:30pm with a reservation so I dropped off my bags and walked to the casino. I had a bite to eat there. The only complaint I had is that the parking lot in front of the building is on a steep slope so if you arrived later in the afternoon or early evening to check in most likely you would be stuck with a parking space that was steep and angled. This is why I left my car in a good spot and walked to the casino. The price was reasonable and because I was only there to sleep it was fine. It was my last stop along the Oregon coast before heading home to Washington.

Bad for sleep and parkingUncomfortable beds, noisy, parking on the hill is a challenge for elderly people as the car door will pull you right out of the vehicle if backing in and if pulling into the space getting the door open and getting out holding the door weight to keep from getting shut up in the door is another real pain so parking in the rear lot is kind of scary as there are no luggage carts and uphill and darkl etc etc so if elderly I suggest elsewhere would be a better choice

Never again!I stayed here because unfortunately I gave my friend Shirley permission to book us a hotel room after a concert at casino, which was a huge mistake (letting her book the room, not the concert). We now have a great story about our stay here, but I think Id preferred to have had a good nights sleep. I gave this hotel 2 stars because some of what made our experience way less than pleasant was the actions of other people staying there. The room wasnt horrible- a very basic room with the bare minimum, which was what I was expecting in a Motel 6. Heres the thing: Im not sure why smoking is allowed in the rooms at all, but if you dont want to smell weed and cigarette smoke all night, dont want to deal with dogs all over the place, and want a good nights sleep, DONT STAY HERE. We had to open the window to get fresh air and I had to wear extra clothes so as to not freeze (VERY thin blankets on bed). The fire alarm went off at approximately 3:30 AM because of someone smoking. We all had to leave our rooms and go downstairs, unsure if it was actually a fire or not. Classy guest #1 and his wife (or girlfriend?) , classy guest #2, yelled and swore loudly at the hotel front desk guy (in front of kids...and dogs), who had no idea why the fire alarm was going off which made these guests yell and swear more. Other classy guests #3, #4, and #5 started yelling and swearing back at classy guest #1 in defense of hotel front desk guy, which it wasnt that they shouldnt have spoken up, it was just a swearing match at that point. I didnt know one could include so many foul swear words in a sentence, but apparently these people can. Front desk guy should have called police instead of dealing with the abusive, obnoxious classy guest #1 (who behaved like a middle school child and was making a spectacle likely in hopes of getting his money back). I was hoping it was all just a bad dream. We were told there was no fire, cleared to go back to rooms. Classy guest #1 ranted and raved and swore up and down the hall a bit longer. People continued to smoke the rest of the night. I had to wear earplugs to block out all the noise. The walls are paper thin, and theres a lot of space under the doors for noise and smoke to get in. Heard several classy guests (could have been a carryover from the nights events) get into a yelling/swearing match out in the parking lot as they were making their classy departures later that morning. I really hope classy guests #1 and #2 had to pay for their mother fing room. Ive never been so happy to leave a hotel and never come back.

FantasticCheck in and check out easy. We had a couple problems with the room that were resolved with housekeeping and the assistant manager. They went well beyond and would stay there again for the customer service. The room was sparse but clean and quiet. It is off the main highway and walking distance to the casino and grocery stores. Very convenient.
