  Non-smoking room! Not really

  We stopped here after a long flight and after getting out of Chicago. The staff was friendly and offered us a double bed room for one night. Being really tired, we took the room as we do not wanted to drive further. Unfortunately, there must have been some smokers in that room before. We could still smell it and some of our clothes adapted the smoking smell.

  Ovoid this place

  How ridiculous! We called ahead before making a reservation to confirm parking and room rate for a queen bed NON-SMOKING. Arriving a couple hours later we were pleased to se an abundance of parking. Getting to the counter a clerk who was obviously in no mood to work came to the counter, made us understand she really does not want us to feel there is parking for our commercial busses, raised our rate by double digits because we are a couple, and gave us a room that stinks of smoke and has no fridge or microwave. This was our first time trying this hotel hoping to use it in the order of twice a week, but it will be our last time. Motel 6s loss, not ours. There are many other hotels on our route that appreciate our business, and we will gladly remain loyal to those.

  Nasty rooms and unprofessional staff

  I reserved a King room but was given a double bed. Sheets dirty. Cigarette holes in the top sheet. Dirty shower. Broken light fixtures. Told management they did nothing. Dont waste your time or money going here. They did not try to give me a discount or anything. Room 120. Go to another hotel next door.

  Stay somewhere else....

  Room was dirty floors were sticky lock on door didn't work black mold in bath room dingy towels very noisy obvious drug activity and prostitution taking place in and around this property. Avoid the motel 6 at 179 street in Hammond Indiana.

  Worst hotel/motel ever

  My daughter and I were on our way home for Christmas from visiting family in Illinois. Wasnt feeling well on our way back so I decided to book a room. Better safe then sorry. What a terrible mistake. The check in experience was horrible. There was someone there in the lobby area that looked homeless and it smelled like urine. We got to the room and opened the door and it smelled like we walked into a Goodwill. Old books in the attic smell. The bed sheets were dirty and the bathroom was dirty. I had to apologize to my daughter. Thanks for ruining our Christmas.
