  Would rate a negative 10 if it was an option

  The worse if the worst.. Staying in hotels is a regular for us. At least 20 days a month if not more. This hotel stay has definitely put Motel 6 on our Do Not Stay list. After starting off with a reservation for a single king bed (as it was the last cpl days of our honeymoon we were heading back home )... We were told all t hey had was 2 db! Bed roo m avail. When we went to the room.. The lock on the door was broken. Unable to secure our belongings when we left out of the room.. We never even took luggage to the assigned room. Went straight back to desk and had them assign us another roo m. Which they did a few doors down fro m the original one. the room had only one towel and not a single garbage can. The hotel was i suppose under construction or something as t here were a lot of noise from early hours aIl the day. It was very r un down and trashy . With questionable characters hanging out around the hotel. We paid for two nights so that we were able to sleep in undisturbed the next day. . That did not happen.. 3 times before noon we were interruoted.... our door was rudely beat on by staff sayin check out was at 11... the door jus being opened twice by two different men bc they kept saying they hadn't changed our room # in the system and so they didn't know we were in it. The last time the guy knocked and before I could open the door, he had used a key and nearly knocked me down shoving the door open... Saying to me ... Well I knocked when I complained about nearly being hit by the door. One the beds... When we Sat on it, it caved in the middle .. .. This is just the highlights of this horrific nightmare stay. Dirty run down rude unorganized Mess.... That is what Motel 6 in Gulfport MS is.... We checked in on Fri the 22nd left sun the 24th. Thinking that we were done w that awful experience... A wk later on the 29th we get a $100 charge on our credit card ... We called the 800 # about the charge ... They said the hotel mgmt had it posted as room damages ... A week after we checked out and they have it documented we were assigned three (not two like we actually were ) different rooms and that our final room (the one they charging the damages in...)/is a room we never even were in..... So now we have our money tied up at least 5 days while we wait on the complaint to be addressed by the property mgmt. More than likely we will be still addressing this nightmare for a long time yet to come.

  Filthy!!! Travelers BEWARE

  We booked a non-smoking room, but was given a smoking room with a key that would not open the door. Went back to office, and was given a new room, told them we ordered a non smoking, but again we were given smoking room.. Key card worked after a couple tries, so we kept the room, but was dirty, molding, and looked like they never cleaned it. It was obvious there was no Sanitizing & extra cleaning going on here or Covid 19. Room had black mold on bathroom door frame, and air conditioner vents were covered in black filth. Ceiling also had black spots on ceiling and was in need of repair. Lampshades had spots of something splattered on them, door had black prints from a boot, sink was dirty, with long hairs, and tub had black dirt & mold in shower. Bedspread had burn holes in it. And the swimming pool water was BLACK! It was open, but nobody was in it. Water was completely black, looked like oil. Place is totally disgusting, and only reason we stayed there was because we were traveling with pets on way to Texas. Overpriced, we were charged $60 for this dirty disgusting place. Travelers BEWARE! Do NOT stay here!

  Disgusting rooms

  I came to stay at room 126 it was a total mess, spiders and nettles everywhere. I went to the office to get my refund and he said (johnathan) that I couldnt be refunded so he gave me another room which is 208 and a free night . I came back to checkout out and the man been checked us out pass due time and took my deposit. I wouldnt recommend anyone to come to this nasty slump

  Run run run

  Disgusting management knows about this doesn't care when they call it a drug Motel it is they drug Motel fighting police you name it it happened no locks on the door cigarette Burns everywhere stinky nasty place should be taken off of everybody's website like I said management does not care sheets were dirty just straight-up nasty

  Terrible experience

  I stayed at this motel 6 for a weekend and when I went to go to my room the key wouldnt work multiple times requiring several trips to the front desk (not close) and eventually they came down to reprogram the lock...keeping the door open for like 45 mins when it was in the 40s outside. Then, they didnt have ANY bath towels...I had to dry off with bath mats because thats all they had. Thats ridiculous. They require a deposit to stay there also to make sure you dont steal anything from the room...yet, they did not even check my room upon checkout so I am not sure the purpose of the deposit. Definitely will never stay again.
