  Birthday Weekend

  My husband booked us 2 nights here as a birthday treat for me to relax and do nothing and I have to say what a great place to chill out and do nothing! Beautiful room, very clean and tidy with period features. Excellent jacuzzi bath, really relaxing. Our host was so friendly and welcoming, we really felt at home. Superb breakfast too, thoroughly recommended! A brilliant stay, and we'll be back again and will recommend to friends.

  The best hotel for miles around

  Stayed there often as I had a business based in Littleborough nearby. Standard of accommodation - excellent, standard of food - first class, staff - really efficient and friendly. This is a place where nothing is too much trouble. As a small independent hotel this place is world class.

  Super stay

  We stayed at Moss Lodge for my sisters wedding. From the very outset we were made extremely welcome. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff who made sure we were comfortable and at home. Everything ran like clockwork. The room was spotless and the food great. Special thanks to Pauline and Emma for looking after us so well. Highly recommended.

  Our wedding celebration

  Big thankyou to Pauline for ensuring our wedding ran smoothly and looked after us so well. The venue was perfect for us small and intimitate.   HOME Away from HOME

  I recently spent a week at the Moss Lodge. I am an American novelist and went to Rochdale to do research for a new book. I chose the Lodge as it looked like a proper English Manor House, which it is, and I wanted that atmosphere. I was greeted at the door by Samantha with an offer of tea in the cozy parlor while my suitcases were whisked up to a beautiful luxurious room, outfitted with all the comforts of home. When I asked for "streaky-bacon" for my breakfasts, it was there the each morning along with a lovely fruit bowl, brown toast, and a veggie sausage. I only had to ask once. Paula on the weekends cared for me like an older sister, Olga was a gem, and everyone there made me feel like I was in my home away from home. In some ways, it was like coming back home to discover my family's home. It's touted as a business hotel, and its convenience to the city, public transport, and dining I could see why. I had breakfast each morning, and a wonderful dinner...all reasonably priced. I hope to one day return, and of course, if I do, this will be my home.
