Breathtaking views with a slight inconvenienceIt is such a cute place with absolutely gorgeous views right outside its windows. During our stay we encountered a few problems such as the lift wasnt working so we had to carry our heavy luggages through the stairs then the receptionist was almost never there at the reception and we had to ring the bell to get their attention. Lastly, the main doors are locked after 9 pm so we went out to grab dinner only to find out we were locked outside in the cold. The main door can be unlocked through the room keys and this wasnt communicated to us upon our check-in. We kind of panicked and tried inserting the same key (its a common thing that key is the same for both locks) but somehow couldnt unlock it because we thought we were supposed to inform about our plans to someone at the reception but since no one was there we didnt and then we really couldnt think of anything but to shout to grab some attention from someone inside (the door bells werent working because nobody attended to us even after ringing it a gazillion times). Luckily, another guest was leaving the hotel for dinner and he also didnt know what to do to come out (guess what even he wasnt told about the key thing and he couldnt open it with his key too when he tried) and we all were so helpless for getting in and out. Out of our utter desperation the guest inside unlocked the window to let us jump into the hotel, poor guy was hungry and wanted to grab some dinner but after the whole situation he changed his plan too and went back to his room hungry. When we came back into our room we checked into the notices and there we found the instructions that the hotels main door key is the same as the room key! We really wanted to complain about it to the management but decided to leave the matter as everything else went quite smoothly (the little adventure turned into a memory so we arent angry about it and also didnt want to look stupid either) and it was partially our fault too but honestly dont repeat the same mistake and the hotel management should start communicating instructions verbally to the guests at the time of checkin instead of assuming them to read it off from the notices folder placed at a corner of the room. Wont give a bad rating because of this incident though! Its a really fine place as long as you are not locked outside! Will still recommend it. Its very cute and gives such homely vibes.

Winter wonderlandWe stayed her from December 26 to 29. Being from Australia and drinvin as two couples, the Navman did take us round and round the small streets of Bad Goisern and could not find the hotel. finally one of us jumped out and walked around and found this little gem. Welcomed at the reception , plenty of onsite free parking. Wonderful views from our room with balcony. Our room was very comfy with ensuite bathroom with heated floors and towel rack. Our travel friends room had two twin beds and a corner lounge so we would hang out there at night. Such a grand old hotel with character. When we woke up the first morning and went out to the balcony and it was snowing Not a lot was open so we ventured toLake Wolfgangsee caught the ferry to the end and worked our way back through the xmas markets. No fridge in room but if you are there in December just leave your drinks outside and they cool pretty quick. Next day ventured around this pretty town then came back to hotel and had dinner there. The owners son served us in the restaurant his name is Mario such a nice lad. Foodin the restaurant was delicious. Tried out the sauna and spa, great night. All in all will definitely come back.

On the R2 bike routeVery good breakfast and supportive staff. Hotel offers separate garage for bicycles. Located in the town (2 pictures attached) with easy access to bike route. Comfortable rooms, maybe two suggestions for improvement- to provide better cosmetic kit, and pillow are too hard... Also good hotel restaurant :)

Avoid room on the first floor above the kitchen and terraceThe hotel house and emplacement is very nice as well as the terrace and breakfast. However, we got a room on the first floor with our window above the terrace and door above the kitchen. Our night has been so noisy moreover with the cleaning lady room just beside that we hardly slept!
