  Excellent location by the river

  The hotel was spotlessly clean, the service efficient, the location was central and overlooking the river. We were only there one night, and explored the town locally. Parking over the weekend was free. But note everything but the restaurants is shut on a sunday. Breakfast was a buffet and there was nothing more you could look for it was continental style so don't expect a full cooked meal, but the amount of food and choices were great. The room instructions say speak to us before giving a negative review. But the German efficiency was such that I didn't dare! That said the dog was friendly, and the male owner friendly when we saw him. We will go back to the region, but not here unfortunately. Not due to the hotel or the quality but the feeling that we were not welcome. My husband spoke german so it wasn't relating to language barriers and the lady spoke very good english for me.

  Excellent Family Run Hotel - Should be more than 3 star!

  Me and my partner stayed in this hotel on a random trip to Traben Trarbach. The hotel is a lovely quaint family run hotel, where the staff are willing to do anything to make your trip and experience better. We arrived fairly early to the hotel and managed to have breakfast (even though breakfast had already finished). Our room was available not too long after which we were delighted with. We stayed in the Romantic Suite which was incredible, as good as if not better than any boutique 5 star hotel I have stayed in. Cannot fault the suite at all. Everything was perfect. The hotel owners advised us that there was a wine festival happening in the neighbouring town and told us how to get there along with giving us information about how to get up to the castle ruins. We did both of these things. The whole surrounding area is breathtaking. Overall I would highly recommend this hotel. Lovely local people and a fantastic experience all around.

  Lovely location on the middle Mosel

  This Family run hotel is in a great location in Traben-Trabach. A central location and straight out onto the river. Team are very friendly with helpful advice for the area. Breakfast was very good and well organised to deal with current corona virus constraints. I would recommend this hotel and location as a base for great hiking and cycling in the Mosel area.

  We arrived at the end of our third day walking, tired and hot and were so grateful they had a room available. We showered, hand washed our clothes and went out on the veranda for a glass of fabulous Mosel Valley riesling. We considered walking to another restaurant but the owner was so knowledgeable about wines and the menu looked so good we opted to stay. We had our best meal of our trip here. Breakfast the next morning was a cut above several of the other hotels we stayed at - offering the standard European breakfast of cured meats, cheese, yogurt but they were of a higher quality than the standard faire. And the eggs were cooked to order.

  wonderful , family run hotel

  Our room was perfect - extremely comfortable bed / pillows / duvet . USB charging points on the bedside table . Super shower and excellent bathroom amenities . Breakfast was tasty and plentiful and we had dinner in the hotel restaurant ,the food and service was excellent .
