  Good stopover

  Stayed a night here en route from Appi Kogen. Board the Den Den Mushi bus route clockwise (red line) and alight at the 5th bus stop (Choudori Nichome). Cross the street at the lights, do not jaywalk! The hotel is located in the back street 2 blocks away, took us 3 mins to walk . On the return trip to Morioka Station, board the Den Den Mushi on same side of hotel, but use the counter clockwise (green) route. This saves you from crossing the busy main road. Hotel is clean, without fuss and managed efficiently by staff who understands/speaks adequate English. Buffet breakfast is on offer ¥1000 pp. Good choice if you just want something to start the day and not bothered to venture too far afield on an early morning. Hotel location is an easy 3-5 mins walk to Ishiwarizakura and Morioka Castle ruins. Plenty of restaurants around the area.

  Good location - OK value for money

  We needed a hotell for two nights due to a visit at the Seiko factory 20 minutes from Morioka. This was one of the cheaper alternatives when we booked. Check in process went quick. The staff spoke semi good english. It is a 15 minutes walk from the train station. OK to walk with luggage, no hills. Very good beds, softer than on most hotels in japan, it was much to my liking. We stayed in a no smoking room, but the hallways smelled smoke. Not to troublesome, but if you have an issue with this, chose another hotel. We asked for extra pillows when booking, the pillows was in the room when we arrived - good service. Breakfast was ok, but it is very easy to buy breakfast in one of the many shops right outside. It is cheaper and you will have a better selection of food. Wold I stay here again? Well.... This was our first time in Morikoka. Location near train station is preferable. There are lots of hotels closer. I would look for that first.

  Not bad ... one night stay

  Great shower, especially after all day traveling. We've been holidaying for weeks in 32 degrees beach type place and arriving in Morioka at 0 degrees was a bit of a shock to the system. The wonderful hot shower and comfortable bed were blissful. Easy short walk to the main street for restaurants.
