Lovely staff and enjoyed our stay.

This hotel is great value for money. The furniture was adequate, the beds were clean and comfortable and the room was cleaned every day. Good air conditioning unit with remote control meant you could adjust it during the night without getting out of bed. The food was a little repetitive but we both found something to suit at every meal. Free wine and bottled water were available with the 4 course evening meal. The breakfast outside on the terrace was a typical continental breakfast and everything was re-filled regularly. Plastic cups for the fruit juices were obviously for safety reasons because of the tiled floor. The pool area had plenty of loungers and space with a raised area with trees. The layout of the area meant that you could always find shade if the sun was too strong. The bar was not always manned but a phone with a notice to dial 9 for service was answered with a pleasant reply and whoever was on reception came down immediately and were happy to serve coffee, tea, beer, cold drinks etc. The biggest asset of this hotel were the staff. Mirella and her husband (sorry I forgot his name) were up at the crack of dawn setting up the breakfast and worked extremely hard all day. They were very friendly and had a good sense of humour. Any requests or problems were dealt with by reception immediately and with a smile. The noise of the trains did not bother us and ear plugs would solve the problem if it did. The criticisms in other reviews made us a little apprehensive but I was more than happy with our stay and would have no hesitation in returning if I was in the area. Thank you to all the staff for a great holiday!

Could have been put off by some of the reviews!

Just arrived back from a coach holiday to Diana Marina and we stayed at Hotel Moresco. A very nice hotel indeed and what you would expect from a *** Italian hotel. Some of the bedrooms were a little dated but there were obvious signs that there was upgrading taking place. Our room was clean, the bed was comfortable the linen changed regularly, bathroom was a wee bit of a tight squeeze but it was kept immaculate by the domestic staff and towels were changed daily. We had a very efficient air conditioning system which was just as well as it was incredibly hot during the day. Our room overlooked the pool area which again was kept clean and tidy, there were ample sun loungers and nice sheltered areas for those who wanted shade. The under ground tunnel leading across to the shared beach area was not as bad as previously reported, yes the grill walk way was a little shaky in places and the steps leading up from the tunnel to the hotel were a bit on the steep side but it took all of three minutes to pass through it! The hotel staff were welcoming and friendly, and praise must go to the restaurant staff especially Mirella and her husband, who provided expert service on the sun terrace in the morning at breakfast and in the restaurant at night. Every evening we sat down to a four course meal accompanied with a carafe of either red or white wine and bottled water. The food was standard Italian fayre, well cooked and well presented, there was something for everyone. As group we couldn't have been better looked after and praise must go to Mirella, as a couple on the tour were celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary we asked Mirella if it would be possible to organise a cake and prosecco for them, and to both her and the hotel's credit cake and fizz appeared on the night of their anniversary - and free of charge may I add! Anything negative I would have to say about the hotel? Only that it is at the top of a steep hill and there were those in the group who had mobility problems and did find it a bit hard going. The trains did pass close to the hotel but we weren't put off by this.

    Very nice Hotel

Hotel Moresco is an iDeal hotel to visit, great location close to the sea! Swimming pool is filled up with seawater, Only not allowed to swim during siesta. Great fresh food, salad buffet with multiple choice food... fish meat and vegetarian. Rooms are normal for Italian standards, but has an antique touch to the furnitures. Their are multiple locations to visit for excursions around, like Cervo and Imperia, San Remo or Ventimiglia... Monaco or Genua is not to far. Have a nice Holiday :)

    Good swimming pool.

We only used the swimming pool here and it was lovely. 6 Euros each for the whole day. They had comfy cushions to go on the sunbeds and the pool was lovely and clean. I would say the thing that let it down was the toilets and showers which were quite dirty and dingy. I think especially if people are paying then they could have better facilities. In saying that tho, the pool is lovely and it's still worth paying 6 Euros for as it is so much more peaceful than the beach and the beds are more comfortable, would definitely recommend.

Wonderful holidays in a charming hotel

Rooms have been renovated in Spring 2020 while keeping the charm and authenticity of this very nice hotel. Bathroom is super clean, with beautiful Italian shower. Room is very well decorated, warm and authentic with natural materials. Fabulous view on the bay. Staff is extremely dedicated and caring. I will definitely come back !!
