Clueless and FoodlessWe arrived at 3.00 am on Monday 12 September. The hotel owner greeted us and was very pleasant, helpful and friendly and offered us a choice of rooms on the 4th and 5th floors. We opted for the fourth floor room which was a spacious apartment with separate kitchenette with a fridge and kettle and a lounge area containing space for another 3 people to sleep. The bedroom was airy and decorated very tastefully in white and peach. Air conditioning and safety deposit box cost us 67 pounds extra for our 12 night stay. Bedding was crisp and clean and comprised of a sheet on double bed and 1 blanket. We asked for extra blankets which wasnt a problem. There was a small wardrobe with hangers; more hanging space would have been good. There was a dressing table with mirror and limited drawer space. Towels were soft and fluffy and bed linen changed every few days. The bathroom was small with shower, wash basin and toilet. On arrival, I noticed the shower head lying on the floor of the bathroom and asked for this to be fixed. The owner arranged for this to be sorted the next day. The shower lead and toilet roll holder were rusty but otherwise the bathroom was very clean and adequate. There was a roomy balcony with a table and 2 chairs and an excellent view of the sea and surrounding area - heart attack hill leading down to Ladies Beach. I asked what time breakfast was available and was advised by the owner that any time we desired was fine, e.g. 10 or 11 oclock would not be a problem. The next day we discovered we were the only two guests in the hotel and had the pool all to ourselves. Apparently the hotel was closing down the day after we left which would be the 24 September and the next 2 weeks were the last of the holiday season. A few of the surrounding hotels were already closed. It was lovely to be the only two around the pool and we found this very relaxing. There was also a grassy garden in a sunken area with tables set out in front of the bar where one could sit and look around at the other hotels. It seemed to be a problem to be served with cold beer and we tried to explain to the waiter that the beer was warm and the fridge was not cold enough. The hotel was located at the top of a steep hill which was not a problem for us but may be for guests who are not as fit as we are. Up another short steep hill was located a mosque which was very impressive with blue minarets. It took us approximately ten minutes to stroll down the hill to Ladies Beach from Mor Suite. Prospective guests should take into account the fact that they have to get back up the hill after a night out! We loved Ladies Beach and all its amenities and excellent restaurants and had a fabulous day trip out to the temple of Ephesus which is well worth a visit. We would also recommend visiting the timeless Greek village of Sirince. A dolmus can easily be caught to Centrum in the town of Kusadasi at the top of the bank past the mosque. We found it took us 40 minutes to walk to the centre of Kusadasi from the hotel. Breakfast was served in the Roof Top Restaurant which had a great view. On entering the restaurant I wondered where the food was as everything looked empty. We sat down and were served by the cook. At the beginning of our stay we were served with a plateful of food consisting of a hard boiled egg, cheese, tomatoes, cucumber, sausage, black olives, tea and as much delicious crusty bread as we could eat together with fruit jam. The first day we were given orange juice. Some days we were served herbal tea, other times turkish tea. As the holiday went on every day the breakfast depleted somewhat, the cucumber and the sausage disappeared altogether as the portions became noticeably smaller. One morning we slept in later than usual and went up for our breakfast to the roof top café at around 10.45 am. The doors were locked and on knocking, the cook advised us, Closed. No breakfast. Finished. As we were the only guests in the hotel at that point we found this extremely unacceptable but the language barrier and the non-appearance of the owner prevented us from getting any breakfast that day. After a couple of days we were joined in the restaurant by a party of Iranian guests who were now staying in the hotel. On our penultimate morning we went for breakfast at 9.00 am and found the restaurant locked up and empty. We went down to reception and tearing himself away from Facebook, we were told by the waiter that, The man hasnt come with the food. No breakfast. Again, the owner wasnt around at the time to pursue the point further so we went into Kusadasi and bought our own breakfast. So for two days of our holiday we did not receive the breakfast which we had paid for. On the morning that the food had not been delivered, the Iranian family of holidaymakers went down to the local mini market and bought bread, juice, tea etc. and brought it back to the hotel to eat. Although the owner was extremely friendly and pleasant, we found the language barrier was definitely a problem, especially with his 2 members of staff. One was the aforementioned cook in the restaurant, however the other waiter was more helpful and very keen to improve his English so made a good effort to converse with us. We found it unacceptable not to be provided with breakfast and so we attempted to explain to the owner, who was very upset and promised us that he would talk to his cook and he would pay for our breakfast or buy us a drink as compensation. To give him his due, he bought us a drink for our 30th Wedding Anniversary and also bought us a drink as compensation for not receiving any breakfast for the second time (he didnt appear to know about the first occasion when we were too late at 10.45 am for breakfast). All in all, the hotel was very clean and spacious and the room was lovely with a good view of the sea. The owner was very helpful but the language problem proved to be too much of an issue for us especially with his staff. Because of this, and also perhaps we would have preferred to be on the front at Ladies Beach instead of ten minutes walk away, we would return to the area, but not to Mor Suite.

WILL BE BACK :)Just home from an amazing stay at the Mor Suite Hotel ! We found the hotel by chance... After originally booking and paying for a 2 week stay in a villa in the MOUNTAINS we decided after a week to find a hotel for the remainder of our stay ! Upon arrival we knew we had made the right choice.. We were welcomed by the staff and had the choice of two different rooms... On the first night we found ourselves up until the early hours of the night chatting with staff who made us feel right at home... All the staff where more than helpful but in particular Selcuk, Baris and Melis made our stay an unforgettable one! The Service, Cleanliness, Location, Rooms & not forgetting the STAFF are all A class! We couldnt have asked for more ! & if we did im sure we would have got it :P We will definitely be back & would recommend this hotel to anyone ! The hotel is everything you need for a relaxing, enjoyable and all round FANTASTIC holiday ! We cant thank you enough ! See yous soon :) Collette & Tony :)
