    Very Nice

Stayed in Pfaffenhofen a few days on business. The Mossburger is a lovely hotel. The facilities are very modern, and well appointed. We had a deluxe room facing the street. The room was spacious, very quiet and the bed comfortable. The restaurant/bistro was surprisingly good (very good schnitzel and kartofel salat). Asparagus was in season and excellently prepared. The breakfast was great value at 9Euro for the full spread of typical German breakfast fare including eggs cooked to order. Staff were very friendly and efficient and happy to help with all requests. The hotel is five minutes from the town square and close to everything. There were a few on street parking spots but the hotel also offers an underground car park for 5 Euro a night. The surrounding countryside is also very picturesque at this time (spring) with hop fields etc.

Only hotel in Pfaffenhofen worth staying in!

My partner has family living in town and due to his Grandmother's 80th birthday we decided to stay in his home town rather than stay in Munich as we always did on past visits. This is a lovely town center with good places to eat and perfect if you have business close by. The rooms are small but comfortable. The bathrooms are a good size and I especially loved the rainhead shower. Our first room (103) faced the street and the AC did not function so to leave the windows open would have meant non stop traffic noise so we asked to be moved and the front desk staff did so without issue and provided a room in the rear which was very quiet. It is a compact room by American standards but when I say there are no other options for a good hotel in town I mean there are none. We tried another one down the street years ago and it was pretty bad. Beds were comfortable everything worked and in city center. There is a mini bar in the room filled with snacks and such. The restaurants in the hotel do a good business and that says a lot about the quality of food. We did not get to eat there because family had us committed for each day involving food. I did check out the breakfast buffet at 9 and it is only worth just that. Standard cold cuts and cheese along with coffee juice and boiled eggs. Plenty of breads. Since we had food commitments with family we opted to go next door at the bakery and have good pastries with coffee. A great alternative to the hotel breakfast. Staff are pleasant and spoke English quite well so communications were easy. My only cons to the stay were that the pillows in the room sucked and no coffee/tea boiler - something standard to any European hotel. Kind of odd but I assumed it was due to the compact size of the room. Also, it was clear the hotel does not see itself as a destination for English speaking tourists since none of the standard brochures were in English. The hotel does a solid business with business travelers due to the international companies located in the town so I thought it was a bit odd but again the front desk can help if needed. The internet log in is very weird and a three step process to get connected the first time. You will need instructions from front desk because the password provided requires more than one step. Sort of primitive in terms of how most hotels provide access to their internet. Speed varied from ok to poor.

Great place to stay and eat.

I did spend about 100 nights at this Hotel- Extremely well run family owned hotel. Also one of the best Restaurants in town. I can absolutely recommend for tourists, families and business travelers alike.

Convenient location, comfortable bed, helpful staff

We spent seven nights in this hotel. The staff were excellent, and spoke fluent English. The rooms were of a reasonable size and the bed very comfortable. (In German style the double bed was two single beds pushed together). Breakfast was very good. We did not try the restaurant for other meals. I would have given an "excellent" score but for the fact that the lift was out of action for the duration of our stay.

    Kindness

The people who work at this hotel are very kind and try very hard to help with whatever your problem may be. The town is adorable and safe and clean. A charming place to stay away from big city sterile environments. The food is not wonderful but the staff in the restaurant are exceptionally polite and kind. The hotel has all the essentials and is cheery and very clean. I would stay here again EXCEPT that I am doing to do everything I possibly can to NEVER EVER ride on Lufthansa again. It is horrible and they deserve every single one of the nasty things said about them, and plenty more.
