Beautiful, restful, elegant, friendly holiday accommodationOur stay here has been wonderful. It recharged our batteries. New England is such a beautiful area and now in late spring it is a gorgeous time to be here. Moore Park is an old homestead, but nothing is old about it. We would love to stay again and will certainly recommend it to family and friends!

Well worth the visit when in ArmidaleThe Moore park inn is a little out of town but a really nice motel. Rooms are on the larger side and very clean. It is a beautiful property with a very good restaurant serving evening meals and breakfast. Would recommend.

5th visit - always fantasticI stay here for work a couple of times a year and it feels like a second home. The grounds are beautiful and peaceful, the team friendly, the rooms spacious and clean. Oh and the food in Archies the restaurant is worth the trip alone :)

BEWARE! You might get a totally different downgraded room!We have travelled around the world and have mostly given great reviews on various places. This is the first time we have ever had to provide a horrendous review in our own country due to unprofessional service. We made a reservation for Moore Park Inn Armidale on 10 November for a 4 night stay from 26-30 Dec. After driving for over 3 hours from Muswellbrook through a short but severe thunderstorm, we arrived at Moore Park Inn Armidale at around 3pm on 26 Dec. When we entered the reception area, a couple (who we assume are the owners) were behind the counter and they were serving a gentleman. We waited patiently and were called to the counter. We mentioned that we had a booking. The man searched through a pile of booking papers and found none with our name. The first question asked: ARE YOU SURE YOU BOOKED AT THIS PLACE? This should have raised an alarm we proceeded to show our confirmation email. He and his partner then looked into their computer system and said oh yes, room 25. He took the key and asked his partner to print a check-in form on which he wrote our credit card details and asked us to sign. He proceeded to provide us with a couple of brownies and two small bottles of milk for our stay. We went to our room.. when we first opened the door we saw a twin bed in somewhat unpromising surroundings. It was not the renovated Executive King room that we had carefully booked, as clearly shown on our booking receipt. We immediately went back to the reception area and addressed the issue. The man said that the reservation had always been for room 25 a so-called deluxe room (there is nowhere in the website saying the room number for a booking). We showed our booking confirmation that clearly stated the type of room that we booked. He frantically searched in his computer system and mumbling something about Christmas. His partner entered the reception area and asked if she could help him. He said no but continued mumbling about the room. They somehow tried to see if there was any alternative (by juggling rooms) which didnt seem possible. After several minutes, the partner of this man turned to us saying in a firm unapologetic tone that they only have a queen size room tonight that they can offer and that we can move to the king afterwards. No apology given. Nothing. As if we were just a walk-in customer which was NOT true. This is unacceptable for a booking made 6 weeks prior and had been confirmed. We even called a couple of times beforehand to ensure we have a booking which they had confirmed (including a restaurant booking on Tuesday 29 Dec). During the dispute time, the man even said that we shouldnt discuss whose fault it wasalthough eventually admitting to a mistake, first blaming it on the booking system but over the course of the interaction, it became clear that they may have allowed someone else to take the last room of the room type that we had booked They even asked whether or not we booked directly with them, through their own website, which is exactly what we had done and which was clearly indicated on our booking receipta direct receipt from the establishment. . Throughout the encounter, they could barely even begin to utter an apology let alone attempt to rectify the matter. We had enough, we decided to cancel our booking immediately even though we had no where else to go. We simply would not spend a single cent at this place. At some point the man eventually apologised with a vague reference to how the Covid situation was causing cancellations and hurting businessand ultimately stated that the room was not available at the time of our booking yet they had accepted the booking anyway presumably in case there was a cancellation! If that is in fact what happened, such intentional overbooking of accommodation either already is or should be an unacceptable trade practice. We found the behaviour of these people unacceptable and unethical. It could even be considered a scam by trying to charge a premium price for a standard room without notifying the patron. If we hadnt complained, we would have been charged a premium price for an inferior room. And seriously, apologising is basic customer service in hospitality. We would have stayed if they apologised properlyhuman error is normal. But arrogancy after making a mistake and lamely trying to first blame a customer before ultimately admitting an error is unacceptable. So BEWARE! You might not get what you booked. We will ensure none of our friends and family will ever book at Moore Park Inn Armidale. P.S. We did return the milk unopened we offered to pay for the brownies which we couldnt find due to the stressful situation, but they asked us to keep those. When we found the brownies, we just had to chuck it to get rid of the bad luck. P.P.S. We wrote this in a convenient room of the Powerhouse Hotel which we luckily were able to find available after the saga.

Picturesque and comfortable Haven for a weary traveler....After a long drive the picturesque surroundings were very relaxing, the check in easy and room service was fantastic.. the food was very good. We had a really enjoyable stay and our dog loved being able to go for a walk through the grounds too.. it will be bookmarked for future travels and road trips.. definitely worth visiting...
