Unpleasant experienceUpon arrival, the reception was warm and welcoming.. The room was in the attic, a little cramped but cosy enough for two romantic days. However, a few hours later, tv stopped working, fan not working and dust everywhere. The following morning, we went down to the main restaurant for breakfast at 9:30am (breakfast ends at 10:00am) and heard the lady complaining and swearing that two rooms hadn't come down for breakfast yet!!! We are locals so we could understand each word she was saying. We thought it was a one-off but the following evening a tourist couple came into the restaurant at 8:40pm seeking somewhere to have dinner and the same thing again! She was annoyed and swore.. I felt sorry for the couple.. The restaurant customer service is ZERO! It's unfortunate as the area is very ideal overlooking the beach.

Very Nice stayI had a quick stopover for 3 nights in La Digue on my way to catch a cruise in Mauritius. I think most of the previous reviews have this place right. It's a nice, modest hotel on a beautiful island. Do Not Miss L'Anse Source D'Argent: I didn't find Wilson or Christy Brinkley, but beautiful nonetheless There aren't any mega hotels or resorts here, so it's a good mid-range choice. Location is a short 200-300m. walk to the left from the ferry terminal. The main town is to the right so it's a short walk to the shops and restaurants. On check-in, I found the reception friendly and warm. My room was spotlessly (really!) clean. I had an ocean view room, but you did have peak through the the palm trees , nice. I had dinner in the restaurant one night, shrimp Curry and a Seybrew. Nice, they said the shrimp were fresh, but I doubt it, but still good. If I had any suggestions for improvement, I'd suggest more and better towels in the bathroom (the ones I had were a little bit threadbare), maybe a little more bathroom amenities than a single bar of soap (maybe add a shampoo/body wash) and a light blanket for the bed (A/C worked very well ). These are suggestions for improvements, not complaints. I was generally pretty happy here and I think others will be. All in all, if I get a chance to get back to la Digue, I'd stay here again for the friendliness, good location and clean room. All in all, a nice stay and would happily do it again.

Very very very friendly staff, BUT...First of all the staff is really friendly and nice. This is the real big point of the hotel (thats the reason for the second star). But the hotel itself was faaaaar below our expections. For 200Eur per night we expect a much higher standard. We booked a room with seaview. We where checked in but we could not see the sea. Only some palms. In the bathroom the window was missing which is not that nice at night with all the mosquitos and insects. The shower was broken. We claimed that at the reception and the next day we got another room. We had seaview and a working window in the bathroom. But therefore the air conditioning was not working and we had ants everywhere. There where ants even in our bed and they also made it into our luggage. Breakfast was very simple. No buffet. Omlett with ham, toast, marmelade...We would go for a drink with the staff at anytime as they are really really friendly but we never would stay one more night there.... ;-)

Holiday stayGreat staff, Sibert is a very friendly happy host. Breakfast and dinner included and was amazing creole cuisine. Sibert went out of his way for us. Room was clean. Aircon worked well. Beautiful views. Close to jetty, shops and beach. Recommend and will definitely stay here again next time we visit La Digue. Thank you Sibert and staff for your hospitality.

Relaxing staySpent 4 nights over Christmas. - Great location: less than 5 min walk away from the port, in the centre near all the bars and restaurants. - Delicious food: Fully recommend eating here at least one night. The octopus curry was the best I've ever had. The breakfast of fresh fruits and scrambled eggs were great too. - Cool host: Seabert (probably spelling this wrong) is always in a laughing mood. He was able to rent us bikes, call us a taxi when it was raining, cook for us, and bought us some typical creole food we wanted to take home with us. Went the extra mile every step of the way. - Clean. Room cleaned every day. In short, La Digue is a must-see when visiting the Seychelles and I fully recommend staying at this guest house.
