  Best hotel in pai!

  Great staff, we forgot a purse and they called us and bring our purse to chiang mai airport with no charge! Very nice pool and free dvd library. Almost 24 hours shuttle to an from pai. Very recommended! Sure we will chose mintis next time:)

  Odd resort

  My partner and I stayed here for 1 night, We read the reviews which is why we stayed. The staff are very friendly and breakfast is good, other wise the resort itself is strange, it has a African theme with fake animals everywhere, the room smelt damp and not that clean, beds are very hard. We stayed somewhere else the next night for only $35 AUD which was better, we think this resort is to expensive for what it is. We are confused about the rating of this place being so highly recommended, the resort is to big and not maintained. We wish we could of loved this place, just wasnt for us.

  Very nice!

  Great hotel space, calm and peaceful. Huge rooms and property with nice landscape. The staff is wonderful, very helpful and efficient at all times. The shuttle to the city center is great and very practical. You can take DVDs to whatch at the room which is very nice also. Amazing pool facilities, we love it, so peaceful. The only thing its a shame that the food quality is very very low and basic, with a hotel of this category I would expect a decent food and restaurant quality but the food is beneath that, below avarage.. disappointed with that part unfortunately.

  Flawed on so many levels a real shame.

  This place could be magnificent .............but it simply is not. The grounds, the location, the staff, the potential facilities are all amazing. The safari lodges are extremely well appointed. The pool area is lovely but the pool is not cleaned and bits are falling apart. There is a gym where the equipment is failing, and a building which we think is a spa, bar and entertainment centre however......The spa is not open , the pool table and fuseball table have fallen in to disrepair and the bar is no longer open. There are buildings dotted around the grounds which seem to be unused. This place seems to be failing which is a shame for the wonderful staff. Ignoring all that our room was very nice and cleaned every day, the grounds are lovely, breakfast was pleasant also. This place needs an overhaul, it needs investment and it needs marketing properly. Would I recommend a stay here ? all things taken in to account probably not which is a real shame as it has such huge potential.

  Avoid!

  We made the mistake of booking a suite here via Agoda. When we arrived, which was a busy Loy Kratong weekend holiday, the Montis was deserted! We were to be the only guests and the only staff we saw was a receptionist and the porter all through checkin and all the way to our room which was quite far into the grounds. The terrace of our suite was dark with no lights and next to a swamp like pond! The room itself did not appear fresh. We decided it was not okay and also not safe. We were able to arrange a cancellation through Agoda and book another hotel.
