  Good hotel but no Wi-Fi

  We stayed here for a week and found the hotel in the main was good. The location was perfect and a few minutes walk from all the beach, bars and restaurants but quiet. The room was very clean, fairly modern and simple with good air con and comfy bed. We were in room 1307 and unfortunately the rumbling from air con units outside were quite loud at night so not good if you're a light sleeper. My main gripe was no Wi-Fi. It was virtually non existent and only worked at the poolside but even then it was slow and was losing connection. I brought it up twice with reception and they did try their best to help but we gave up in the end. Service was good and although not overly friendly , they certainly tried to rectify any issues. We ate for breakfast once and didn't enjoy it, found it to lack variety and bland. There is a shop next door , so we bought croissants and fruit from there. If you're into excursions I would highly recommend using guide tours next door to the hotel. If you're not bothered about breakfast or Wi-Fi then I would reccomened this hotel. We had a good stay overall.

  Fantastic little hotel

  Stayed at the Montebello Deluxe for 11 nights from 20th September 20. All of our worries about staying away from home disappeared as the staff were constantly wearing masks and hand sanitiser was available everywhere. The room was spotlessly clean with the maids doing an amazing job and always had a smile and a good morning for you. The restaurant and bar staff were very friendly and although very busy would always make time for a chat. The pool area is very clean and very pleasant to sit around. I must just mention the food as it is gorgeous and very well prepared with an extensive evening menu. All in all a very pleasant stay in a very well run hotel.

  Rude - checked out early

  Very disappointed, mainly with Mehmet who sits on the front desk and his so called service We arrived to be told our reservation had been cancelled. His tone and manner was aggressive and he just said it was the fault of the company we booked through. When asking how/why etc and explaining I had already pre-paid and had confirmation email he didnt have a care in the world and tried to shrug us off. He told us he was fully booked. He then pointed and said we can sit in the lobby for 10-15mins to try and call the company. Internet doesnt work well in Turkey, WiFi or 4g so I was unable to get any emails/contact number to load. So felt stuck and stranded. I then attempted to talk to him again for help where he pointed at the tip box on the front desk and said I will try to help but its not my problem. Again with a such rude and aggressive manner. Anyway after saying it was fully booked he then checked us in and took us to a top floor room. Well the room didnt look like anything from the photos we had seen online or on the website. It was old, tired, and had an awful drain smell. The beds were rock hard and flat. It seems like this room/block of rooms had not been refurbished (if I had known this previously I wouldnt have booked, or I would have paid more for a superior standard room) I said this to him but he growled and shouted at me to say how he as just helped me and that this is the only room available. (Although 15 mins before this he told me he was fully booked). Overall disappointing and very intimidating. I then googled reviews and found a review on here from a lady who visited in 2019 who had similar experience with him! Again, pointing at the tip box! It felt he took advantage as we were two young girls between 25-30. We didnt spend any time at the hotel, nor did we eat breakfast or anything in the restaurant. I felt too angry. However when walking past the restaurant staff seemed friendly enough. Also found that the sun beds went every morning quite early and it seemed like there wasnt enough for guests. Also that there wasnt one spot where you remain in sunlight all day. So we opted for day trips and beach days. Even went to another hotel pool where we had lovely food and drinks. We asked for a second duvet and mehmet couldnt be bothered to help source one and told us to ask again tomorrow. The cupboards at the entrance of the block were open where I saw linen/cleaning supplies so I just took a duvet myself. He clearly couldnt be bothered to help find us one. We also got locked out one night, it seems the battery on the key card system broke. (Fine with this- its one of those things) The young 20yr old boy on reception at nights was most helpful and organised maintenance to come and fix. He also seemed friendly too. We checked out 2 nights early. Mehmet always seemed to question or make comments when seeing us. To be honest found him very rude and felt he had lied to us. Overall the room was rubbish and wouldnt recommend staying here. There are so many other places to stay so dont bother wasting your time here. Yes location wise its close by but to me when going on holiday its about a clean/tidy room with friendly hospitality and a decent pool area. This hotel had none of that unfortunately. One last thing. The cleaners didnt clean, they just remade the beds and a clean towel. (no clean sheets - not that they were clean anyway. The sheets had stains on them and the towels were so old they were wearing away, thin holes starting to appear)

  Looked after us

  Well it must be an age thing but on arriving we were informed (in a nice way) that we were actually a tear early! Usually I class myself as very efficient but with what's going on at the moment and the stress of it all I made a major blooper, but thankfully the manager and staff recognised me from various visits and sorted us out with a room. So the good news is we are booked for next year already! The staff are is great, the hotel is clean and it's a great location, must add Jonty the batman is a great lad and the restaurant attached Montebello Kitchen is extremely good value for money and very good food too. Inci and Ottoman Turkish restaurants next door are fab too.

  AVOID unless you are given it for free!

  Pros: Location is near beach and on dolmus road. Rooms are fairly modern compared to other hotels in area. Maids very friendly and would always say hello. Cons: There isnt enough area around the pool for the amount of rooms available. We came down at 9am every morning and not a single bed was free. There is a sign saying any towels put down before 9am will be removed .. not enforced. For 4 days of our 7 night stay, there was a water shortage. No water came out of the shower or tap. When fixed brown sewage like water came out of the taps and shower. Lovely to wash and brush your teeth with. Power cut - on 3 separate days we lost power in our room. Every 10 minutes it would turn off and on. That means phone uncharged, air con off and on etc. Was a nightmare, especially to try and sleep in with all the noise. Staff - rude. Especially Mehmet. A liar, who would say fixed in 10 minutes ... never fixed. When we arrived we werent given any information - when breakfast was, where it was, how to inform maids you wanted your room cleaned / fresh towels (there is a button in your room you need to press, if you dont, they wont come) WiFi - abysmal. If your phone doesnt work in Turkey and you need to rely on WiFi, dont even consider staying here. Be lucky to receive one message whilst staying here. Genuinely appalling. COVID - no temperature checks, very few hand sanitizers but there is a few posters hanging off the wall about COVID. They arent taking it seriously. Currency - they offer a currency service .. rate in resort was 9.60 to the Pound. The hotel offered 8.2. Con-artists. Unless you are given this hotel as a free holiday, please dont visit. Dont waste your hard earned money here. So much better choice, value & service elsewhere. There are some lovely hotels in the area with staff who really care and go the extra mile - Mehmet & his team at the Montebello Deluxe do not give a **** Ölüdeniz is a lovely holiday location & the weather is always spectacular.
