    Never again villas monte verde

The worst villa we have ever stayed in Javea. We rang the Thomson emergency number to upgrade and move, but we were advised by the lady, to go online and find our own villa, as they were fully booked! The whole experience was awful, from the facilities, could do with a complete maintance overhaul. The pillows, towels etc very poor quality. The gardens were a joke just dried mud, with electric cable tape round the trees. The pool was dirty, which I spent 2 days cleaning. The one restaurant at the complex entrance was closed! Poor quality Thomson, get your act together

Basic accom, extra costs for wifi & air con, out if the way - definitely need a car!

Thomson call this the Hierbabuena Villa. The villa itself was basic and a bit tired. Pool is good size and although not heated it was very useable! Beds ok, washer didn't spin and oven didn't work on cooker. Had to pay 70 for wifi and 100 for air con (for 2 weeks). Lots of ants - bought powder which dealt with them each time they popped up somewhere new! The 'complex' is 4 villas in a square on an 'estate' of villas. Nothing terribly nearby so definitely need a car. Nice Italian and good Indian within 15/20 min walk. Beach and supermarket 20 mins drive away. Local beach is lovely with great variety of restaurants and bars. Great resort but wouldn't rebook the villa!

Huge Villa, The essentials for a week

We stayed here in May 2017. We had villa number 7 and booked with Thomson. It was a huge villa with three double bedrooms, 2 of them ensuite. The villa is very basic and is cleaned out of everything that shows any existence of human life such as washing up liquid! I did manage to get locked in the bedroom on the first night but after being passed a knife under the door I freed myself. I can imagine that being way more stressful if that had been a child but the doors are flimsy enough to be broken down with a good kick! The pool was large and was maintained every other day by a pool guy. I did send some time getting leaves out but it's on high ground so is breezy and will get a few bits in it. There was a bbq and the kitchen was big enough to be functional. There was car parking at the bottom of some substantial steps which were hard work with shopping in the belting sun. We paid very little for the holiday so were happy with what we got , if people paid a lot I don't think they'd be so happy as it is basic. We paid 25 for Wi-Fi for 5 days as we arrived in the night we didn't go back to the hotel for the code until over a day later. Our keys had been put in a safe for us to collect in the early hours. I know that the people after is didn't have such a good time as their keys weren't there. With Thomson we had a problem with our car which hadn't been paid for by the company as it should bit luckily the rep was at the airport to sort it. Bit that's a Thomson issue, nothing to do with the villa. I would recommend a Sat Nav as the area is very wibbly wobbly but there's loads to see.

    holiday from hell

I booked for the 18,8,2018 for 2 weeks for my husbands 60th birthday at the Monte Verde villas Costa Blanca javea i wanted to do something nice for my husband as he works very hard and he had not had a holiday in 5 years, what a night mare it was when we got there we were number 10 you go in the gate and have to stand on the pool edge which was very scary to get to the villa path way then you have all these steps just to get up to the villa its not for disabled people which i am and the travel company tui knew this when i booked. What we sore was a dirty pool tissues and bloody plasters big stones leaves twigs wrappers and condom wrapper by sun bathing area and that was just the pool then it was the patio mud footsteps dead flies twigs the bbq was full of rust and food. Then you go in and you see food on walls food and grease and food on cutlery dirty oven blood stains on curtains fridge rusty and broken in side food down the side of the fridge nails coming up on the settee mould on the under cushions of settee food and a piece of glass chips and crumps rips and cigs burns in the settee, then you go in bathrooms sinks not cleaned black around them showers got hair in them bobbles still on the floor of shower then go to bedrooms hairs on bedding and body hair black marks on the bedding then you go in to shock and start to cry omg what have i done i paid £3700 for this so you ring the number they give you when you get there and say the villa is dirty and they say I dont understand this went on for 5 mins then i scream down the phone to send someone round plus I am ringing the shop were i booked this got no reply plus ringing tui there 24/7 help line with no help. when the cleaner came she could not speak any English so we had taken all the photos to show her then she gets on the phone and 2 more come they were useless he cleaned the pool by just taken the tissue out and the plasters but left everything else so we had to wait till Tuesday for the pool man to clean it properly my husband and i were cleaning this villa for hours before we could unpack they put clean bedding on that Saturday but then we had to ask for more clean bedding when i seen them going to the next villa 9 days later they came once a week with clean towels you have to clean them yourself, you also have to empty your own bins and take the a mile away to the big bins on the road we had no outside light and it was very dark i fell down the stairs and put my back out and needed medical help rang the number they gave for a doctor and was told no doctor you need to go medical centre rang tui 24/7 help number got no help from them on hold 45 mins and then 35 mins why have a 24/7 help number if you cant get help we sent 6 emails to tui saying how bad this villa is and there is no one to help us.

    Hierbabuena villa

We recently stayed in villa number 7. I was apprehensive after reading reviews that were a little mixed. However, we were delighted with the place! The villa was spotlessly clean. Two bedrooms out of three had a good size en suite. Another bathroom opposite the third bedroom. Built in wardrobes in each room. Facilities were very good, microwave, oven, toaster, kettle, washing machine, ironing board and iron. Air con at extra cost which was made clear at the start. Wifi was fairly slow but we wereon holiday not glued to devices, so it fitted the occasional need. We love love loved the pool. Was much bigger than we thought it was going to be. loved the views and an attractive terrace to eat and drink. A bar b que was a good extra too. The area is very pretty with a good pizza place, tapas bar, indian restaurant and a good local cafe. A great shop to buy inflatables for the pool and a short, pleasant drive to Javea. The supermarket down the hill stocks everything youll need for your self catering experience. If its meals out you want, the local ones are great and also plenty of amazing places to eat on the beach side in javea. Loved the Achil bar on the beach to relax and watch the sunset with a cocktail. Really missed this place when the holiday was over. The villa is in a perfect spot to travel around if you want to see the sights. Nearby Denia is very pretty with a great row of tapas cafes. Felt very cosy and relaxed at the villa. Service at the hotel we picked the keys up from was very helpful. If anything doesnt work, ring them and they send someone straight over. We feel this villa deserves good reviews as we found it was great with everything we needed to make a wonderful holiday. Id absolutely visit it again.
