A big disillusion!!!Montargil is a Nice place to go with Family. the villages are nice and have lots of space but not all the villages have private pool as they advertiste and the complex pool is too small and too dark. Poor services like meals.

Relaxing and upmarketOn arrival the staff were attentive and friendly. The rooms are well equipped with all amenities one could need for a weeks stay. Breakfast around our private pool was a welcome luxury. The staff were very helpful advising on activities, restaurants and areas to visit. The area is perfect for a week break, well recommended.

Wonderful weekendWe booked the villa with 3 rooms, and it was stunning. Most beautiful view to the lake, very well decorated with excellent taste on details. Villa was equipped with everything we needed (it would be a plus if it had an Nexpresso coffee machine, but that's a small detail), the private pool was excellent, the living room was just amazingly set with a open stunning view to the lake. Rooms are great, spacious and very comfortable also all with a great view. The experience with the staff was one of the best i have had, they were very attentive and helpful and accommodated us in all requests we had. We got our dinner served on the villa, which was delicious, and this was a very nice touch to the experience. Thanks for the wonderful weekend, we were looking for something special as we were celebrating a special occasion and that is exactly what we got. Highly recommended!

Peaceful location for a luxury break. What a fantastic place! Great location and views over the lake. Superb breakfast and dinner coupled with welcoming and friendly service. We spent two nights in a one-bedroom villa with lake view. We had intended to self-cater but enjoyed the food so much we took advantage of the restaurant for breakfast and dinner (not to be missed). The chef was happy to adapt the menu to cater for a vegetarian diet. Accommodation is stylish and offers plenty of space and was well equipped. The staff team were very welcoming and friendly.

Great looking Villas, but...This is a small resort right in the Montargil Dam, 1,5 hours from Lisbon, with hotel rooms and villas with private pools. The main Building is surrounded by a shared pool and from there you have great views of the Lake. Many outdoor tables and chairs at your disposal. The 2 Bedroom villa had a private garden and pool, and was in a very good condition. Service was also very good. While this is a very enjoyable destination to rest and enjoy the views, nights are extremely cold even in August, and if you tend to be cold all the time as I do, the pool might feel adequate just for a couple of minutes at the end of a sunny day. Also, you cannot have dinner outside because of how cold it is. I would return if the pools were heated, but in all honesty if you splurge on a private pool you should be able to use it. Again this is not the resort's fault, it is what it is, and unfortunately the local climate is simply not for me. If you stand the cold easily you will love this Resort, my advise is to choose a Lake view Villa, I didn't and ended up regretting it.
