  Clean hotel with helpful staff

  We stayed here for a few nights as we were attending a funeral in Marl. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. There were, however, separate duvets in a double bed which was irritating but common in Germany. Extra pillows were available on request. No kettle or fridge were provided. We asked for a kettle and were able to get one, but a small fridge for milk would be helpful. If you are on the side of the lake the view is lovely, but the geese can be rather noisy early in the morning. The hotel handbook was in German and not translated into English or any other language. There were no English speaking TV channels we could find. The shower was very old fashioned with no thermostat. It was difficult to get the water to the right temperature and I almost burnt myself a couple of times. No non slip bath mat was provided so it would be really easy to slip in the the bath when showering. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is 10 Euros per person which may suit you if you wish to eat a large breakfast. If you just want coffee and a roll and perhaps some cake, you can have your breakfast from the baker in the Mahler Stern which is just the other side of the lake and this will cost you less than three euros per head. There is a restaurant in the hotel but we did not try it.

  Very pleasant and comfortable hotel great staff great service

  We are booking this hotel since years and we are very satisfied with the service cleanliness and great support from the very good staff members. They do go the extra mile for us to accommodate all our wishes we really love to stay at Montana Parkhotel Marl it's just great! When we arrive it's like coming home! Well done and compliments to Mr Müller and his great team!

  Very good atmosphere

  Staffs, restaurant and rooms are so nice. Surroundings are wonderful. Breakfast was so delicious. Almost 30 minutes to travel from the airport, still its manageable. Room service also very good. Its Montana Park Hotel

  Five nights in Marl

  My colleague and me had a pleasant stay in Montana Park Hotel in Marl. The staff was really helpful and friendly. The breakfast was versatile and fresh and the restaurant was homey and spaceous. There were tables also outside. The location is by a small lake and there is a nice pathway to walk after business day. There are not many restaurants or shops in the neighbourhood. Last night there was an outdoor concert by the lake and getting asleep was not so easy.

  A canteen more than a restaurant... Pity!

  Nice place for a stop over between Munster and Oberhausen, in calm location and surroundings. The rooms are comfortable with WIFI connection. For total comfort, ask for a room with view on the lake and enjoy the sunrise. There is a free parking under camera surveillance. The staff are welcoming and converse in English. At breakfast, a buffet offers a sufficiently varied choice. The downside is unfortunately the "restaurant" or rather the canteen. The dinner takes the form of a buffet of food marinating for too long and therefore overcooked for a more than reasonable lump sum of 15. Neither sophisticated nor gourmet but at least unusually cheap for a hotel ... Same for drinks. No wine identified by the producer or the provenance but only and anonymously by the grape variety (Merlot, Pinot Noir, etc ...). Too bad to neglect the quality of the restaurant. Customers will certainly be ready to pay more for better quality.
