  En general el hotel es "suficiente", destaca su ubicación, de verdad imejorable. Tiene habitaciones amplias, las camas pequeñas, pero comodas, aire acondicionado bien para la habitación, pero no cubre el living/comedor/cocina. Es limpio y la atención cordial. Lo malo: 1) la ducha fue un martirio, funcioaba con un calefont que se ubicaba en la cocina (que susto por la perdida de gas, no me dejo dormir tranquilo), al abrir el agua caliente, era necesario aguantarse lo caliente, porque si uno habre el agua fria, se apagaba el calefont, asi q era elegir agua fria o caliente ambas en extremos desagradables 2) una noche me toco temporal de viento y la ventana de la habitación no cerraba bien, me desperto el ruido del viento a las cuatro, tuve que mover el colchon al linving y cerrar la puerta de la habitación para poder dormir. 3) no cambian dolares en la recepción y como llegue tarde fue un problema esa noche.

  Low value for price

  First, the good. Location is great and in the heart of Leblon, which is Rio's most upscale neighborhood. Close walking distance to the beach and plenty of restaurants. A supermarket (Rio Sul) is located just down the street. Another plus is the fact that a parking space in the garage is included, which is great news for travelers with a car rental. Also Internet access in the room - but bring your own Ethernet cable as there is no WIFI. Now the downside. While I am very familiar with apartment rentals in Rio, I would say this one for the price (about $220 a night) was very dated, with old furniture and a poorly equipped kitchen. The kitchen did not have a coffee maker, nor microwave. There is an Air Conditioner in both the living room and bedroom (window units), but when the one in the living room was turned on the doors started to rattle. The shower was a constant struggle. Often the gas heater would not engage, nor heat the water constantly while taking a shower and trying to regulate the water temperature. This was a result of the gas heater turning off due to low water pressure. Very frustrating. The worst experience came with the maid. After a long night out, returning to the apartment around 6:00am in the morning I placed the "Do not disturb" sign on my door. Around 9:00am in the morning the maid insistently rang the door bell even with the sign on the door.....not exactly sure what was going through her head or the logic behind that. The included breakfast was a joke. Little choice in the buffet. If you are looking for an apartment to rent versus staying in a hotel, I would probably suggest finding an alternative.

  Get far from this place!

  My stay in this apartment started with an overbooking (see the picture enclosed) with instructions to the front desk asking to tell me there was an "unexpected maintenance problem". After I have insisted to stay (that I regret), sudenly an apartment was found. This is not an hotel, all rooms are different from each other, with VERY old furniture, fleas, horrible beds and linking toilet. Breakfast is ok and the pool is micro. To complete my experience, it took them more than one hour to find the wifi password...

  Viaje con amigos en febrero de 2012 y me parecio un hotel comodo pero nada mas. Bien ubicado con las prestaciones necesarias pero algo avejentado. Las habitaciones grandes pero muy setentosas. El trato del personal agradable sin exagerar. Hay mejores hoteles en Rio de Janeiro.

  Pay a little more and avoid this place!

  the prices seem impossible at first -- too good to be true? YES -- totally too good, the place if OLD and poorly maintained. The entrance is promising but the apartment we stayed at #806 was just chaos. - horrible bed/mattress/linen, old, dirty, smelly, literally with a hole in it - old towels, small, horrible - couch you avoid to use because it is ripped, old... - A/C? there is but you will be afraid to touch it. must be from the 70s - same for the kitchen lastly, they charge you extra for water and electricity -- but you cant really measure what you used. you are totally at their mercy. DON"T STAY. get a hotel or better BnB option
