Basic 'Kampong' Style StayThis hotel offers basic kampong style living and offers nothing more than merely serve as a stop over to Koh Samui. Having said this, you need a car to drive from this hotel to Raja ferry. Cleanliness of room is a concern here where i believe the bed sheet is not clean and is recycle for use for the next tenant. My booking is suppose to come with breakfast but there was no breakfast served probably due to low occupancy (There were only two rooms booked during my overnite stay here). The plus point for this resort is wifi is freely available and staff is friendly. Also at the back of the hotel, there is a river which is put into recreational use for hotel guest. You could river canoe, swim and natural fish spa is provided free-of-charge.

run down, unappealing and unhygienicWe only spent one night here in transit between Surat Thani and Koh Samui. Its a good 1-1/2 hrs drive (on empty roads late at night) from the airport so is not really a convenient place to stay. Its located about 10km away from the Raja ferry and the taxi next morning cost 150baht per person (so 300 baht for both of us) to take us from the resort to the Raja ferry. The resort looks somewhat run-down and there was only one other couple staying there. Our room supposedly a superior garden bungalow was in a Thai style wooden house with a small verandah at the front. The room was tiny about 3x4m with a large wet room at the back. The bed, in typical Asian style, was rock hard with uncomfortable pillows. The bottom sheet had holes in it, there was no top sheet, the pillow cases were nylon and the bedspread was shiny nylon satin which one was obviously expected to sleep under. There was also a duvet covered in velours, without a removable (and therefore washable) cover. There was supposed to be free wi-fi but there was no signal in our room. The garden area had lots of kitsch concrete figures and the two pools obviously hadnt been used for ages. We were asked what time we would like breakfast so we agreed upon 9am. We arrived in the restaurant 10 minutes and a cold fried breakfast was plonked on the table in front of us. We hadnt even been asked what we would like for breakfast. We paid more here than we had at the Naraya Riverside resort, which was much nicer.

Just do NOT go thereI can say nothing good about this place other than the staff were very sweet. We booked a typical Thai style cottage, never saw one. The room smelled damp and foisty. We overlooked the river which was a haunt for all the local children right outside our room, no peace, such a shame. The room was not clean, there was no bedding other than a spread over the mattress, no sheets, I slept on my silk liner. The pillow smelled of sweaty heads, I used my own blow up pillow. Would not have stayed if not booked through Booking.com as we would loose our money and it was only a stop overnight to catch the Raja ferry next morning. The food was horrid and the wifi non existent unless you sat in reception

Totally uselessOnly stayed one night, thank goodness. Arrived and they had no record of our booking. Accommodation very basic compared to cheaper places in Surat Thani. Door lock was prehistoric, and I managed to lock myself in the room for 20 minutes, unable to get out, so good job there wasn't a fire that night. It rained heavily in the night, I know this because it rained on me in my bed! Breakfast was slow and inadequate. I am English and my 3 guests are Thai. We all thought it was terrible, and overpriced. Only met one staff member. As other reviewers state, she was sweet, but that didn't raise our impression of this place. The only positive was the proximity to the Koh Samui ferry, but next time I would stay in Surat Thani. Best advice, don't touch with a barge pole, we went with an open mind despite the bad reviews, and we were very very disappointed.
