  A nice hotel, with an Austrian flavor, in a small touristic city.

  Found by chance using an hotel search engine / booking system on the occasion of a one-week business trip up there. To be honest, I was looking for a 4*, but the 3* Mondschein exceeded my expectations (and even some of my previous 4* experiences). Nice location, very calm and relaxing, in a typical North-East Italian small town. Ten-minute walk from my meeting (work) place, which for me has been a plus. Great room, ample, clean and well-lit. Slept there every night magnificently. A useful desk (with an InterNet connectivity I barely used) to work with my laptop during evenings. And a little balcony (room for two chairs and one small table) with a gorgeous view on the Alps. Spent some time there considering the atmosphere at the sunset. Polite and cooperative the personnel, both at the reception and at the restaurant. Noted the tasty evening cuisine, somehow Austrian, I liked, albeit Im living in Southern Italy.

  good basic hotel in charming town

  we had a quiet room with balcony and view of the mountains. Everything clean and comfortable. Good pillows - a first anywhere we have stayed. A great evening meal for a very good price. Breakfast good too - plenty of meats and cheeses, beautiful locally-made yoghurt. Hotel owners friendly and helpful. Hotel five minute walk from town centre and on a bus route from the station. Hotel only three stars, so basic amenities, but everything done very well and of a good quality. We visited during Advent, so prices were quite high.

  Great week!

  Great Hotel in the hart of Vipiteno/Sterzing. The Hotel is very clean and the rooms have everything you need on a skiiholiday. Nice balcony with a great views. They have a "SPA" when whirlpool and 3 saunas. Also very nice after a whole day in the slops. The only thing the need to rely be on there toes are the restaurant. The food is ok but a new chef with some more passion to what he serves on a plate would be a lift for the hotel!

  Good hotel for one night

  We stayed here for one night. Vipiteno is quite close to the motorway so it was easy to find. It's also close to the center so it's good for a little walk in the center. The hotel is nice and has a little parking. The rooms are spacious but a bit noisy so not really 100% comfortable. The staff was good in anycase and breakfast was enough, not too many things but quite good

  Nice staff, very nice town!

  The hotel felt a little bit like a retirement home or maybe like Fawlty Towers although Basil wasn't there. But the rooms where nice and clean, nice relax facility with jacuzzi and a sauna. We got a very nice room with a balconie facing the mountain side, with evening sun, 5 stars for that. Parking just outside the hotel, and the best part is that the town center is just around the corner, and what a town, me and my family was amazed by Vipiteno and we will come back in winter. You just got to visit Vipiteno. Shopping, restaurants everything is so picturesque in this town.
