  Clean, Quiet, and Free Internet!

  Pros: Clean! Free internet, good location at the end of the strip. Cons: No frills, bed was nothing special. We stayed at this hotel on a mixed business/leisure trip in mid October, well after the busy tourist season ends for this town. Many of the shops and storefronts and beachside apartments were already closed for winter. A bit of a ghost town! Regardless, we were staying here near a customer and this hotel was a good choice. Our room was large by European standards, had A/C, flat screen TV, a stocked mini-fridge, and safe. The room was very clean, with hardwood floors and a very clean bathroom. Bathroom was narrow, but included toilet, bidet, and standing shower. The room had a small balcony and a view of the water that was blocked mostly by some other buildings. Bed was a bit on the firm side and very springy. For the immediate area, I think it's a good choice.

  More than a 3-stars hotel

  Maybe it is not easy to find it on the web, but Hotel Mondial is a perfect solution for twins as well as small mid-size families (even with an infant), Trains and buses link the hotel with high-speed train stations and there is a low-cost fairs airport not too far. The welcome and the treatment can be defined familiar, even if the owners dont speak English, you are immerged in an not-at-all hostile environment; Rooms are comfortable and big enough, with air conditioned and all you need in a 3-4 stars hotel room, but the best option here is the FOOD!!! Even if you spend two weeks at the hotel in full pension, you can try every day, lunch and dinner, different specialties of the Italian cuisine (not only the typical dishes from the area). The food is not only fish oriented, starting from the pasta (they have so many different type of eggs and dry pasta), moving to the main course, till the dessert. You cannot have pasta AND main dish AND dessert for 1-2 weeks unless you do a very sporty life. And the breakfast is the typical Italian breakfast. Nothing is missing. Beaches are at walking distances (umbrella and bed are included in the hotel price) and if you want to spend the full day at the beach the hotel will provide you with a proper snack included in the full pension. But I recommend to take a car or local transportation and visit nearby water-games locations as well as historical sites and villages, or thousands-years old natural caves, every day could be a different day and the hotel Mondial will always be your refuge at the end of each day.

  Home from Home!

  We have stayed at the Hotel Mondial on two occasions Summer 2011 and Summer 2012. We have really had to think about writing a review as we wanted to keep it our secret! However, its only right to give them credit!This family run hotel is a little gem! Relaxed, friendly and lovely food! The hotel is 2 mins from the beach. There is a supermarket nearby and there are a variety of little shops to browse in! Hope to revisit!

  2 beach days

  Hotel is clean, comfortable, close to beach, and has very good food. You can book a chair, umbrella etc per day at beach very very close from hotel. Eat, swim, eat, sleep, swim. Close to everything and quiet. Popular with young couples and families, and single oldies.

  In November it was still open

  Hotel Mondial is situated on the main road through Porto Recanati but was, in November, not too noisy. The sea is visable and about 100 meters away. Outside and inside everything is clean, smart and comfortable. Our room was quite small but generally OK. At this time of year many of the guests were craftsmen working on various projects arround Porto Recanati. This fact usually leads to good food and it certainly does in this case. The very reasonably priced daily menu is to be recommended. The most positive criticism of the whole hotel is the service in the restaurant. A wonderfully friendly, experienced and competent waitress made our day or evening or even holiday. Unfortunately she doesn't serve down in the breakfast room. On the first morning, when we arrived at about 8:15h, the breakfast offer had been (absolutely to be expected and absolutely correct) devastated by the people before us who had to go to work. The gentleman who brought us coffee and tea did not see any necessity to refresh things! On the second day, at the same time, a large group of people who had taken part in an event the night before was at breakfast. The owner took the initiative and was still bringing trays full of food long after most of the guests were finished and on their way to check out. Not too reliable.
