Good stay during World CupI was nervous about staying here during the World Cup after reading some recent reviews, but we stayed for 4 days (saw the US-Portugal match), and our room was perfectly adequate. Cold A/C, clean bathroom/bed/sheets, and plenty of room/storage. Did not hear a peep through the walls or above us while we were there. There is a fair amount of road/street noise that comes through the A/C vent (we were on 9th floor) but it doesn't usually start until 7am or so. And, they were filling the roof top pool when we left (which would have been a good bonus while we were there). Views from roof top restaurant are great. Breakfast buffet (free) was adequate. Fantastic coffee. Location was excellent for walks to the Theatre, fish market, etc. The street that the entrance is on is quiet and it's on a busy-enough street that safety was not a concern for us. Compared to the other options out there and cost, I'd stay here again if I'm ever back in Manaus. Is the hotel dated and a bit worn out? yes. But I will take cool, clean and quiet any day in a city like this. We heard some horror stories while we were there about some other hotels in this same class. Hotel Monaco really did a good job. They may lose some ground after the World Cup, but they stepped it up this week, in my opinion.

AdequateChose to stay here for 3 nights during the world cup and arrived with a certain amount of trepidation after reading mostly poor comments on here and several other sites. Yes the hotel is worn, dated and rough and around the edges but our 12th floor room was clean, safe, had working air-con and was cleaned everyday (which was more than other hotels in the city according to other travellers whom we met.) The view of the Rio Negro was also unforgettable. On the downside, it was a shame that the rooftop pool was empty in a city so hot and humid. Some traffic noise from the busy streets below. Would I start here if returning to Manaus? Not for a romantic weekend away no, but for a clean, safe, adequate roof over my head for a reasonable price? Yes.

The worst hotel have ever stayed inMy Wife and I and our Son and his Girlfriend stayed at this place for the World Cup for two nights. This could only be described as similar to a boarding house for the homeless. The rooms were extremely basic and dirty, there was mould in the shower. The window was cracked with a hole in it. The air conditioning unit was leaking water onto the floor and was ineffective and noisy. Some of the lighting did not work. The breakfast - a continental type buffet- was passable. The roof top swimming pool looked dilapidated and was unused. I would not have wanted to stay any longer and as they were unable to offer us 3 nights that we originally wanted we were forced to move to another hotel for our third night. A much better hotel at less cost. Unless you are really stuck for accommodation don't stay here. The place needs to be completely refurbished.

Don't go thereThe worst hotel i have ever been! It reminded me of a hotel from a scary movie. Old rooms, dirty and unsafe. Near the shower head was a power supplier. Couldn't enjoy the breakfast, because when we saw the buffet, we weren't hungry anymore. There is a pool on the roof, but it was empty. We made reservations for 4 days (during the world cup 2014) but we left after the first night and checked in a better hotel in Manaus. Off course we didn't get back our money, but we didn't care, because we were still alive

Buena relacion precio /calidad.
