  Home away from home

  Stunning sea views, friendly and attentive staff under professional management of Alessandra, a variety of spacious and clean rooms, studios and apartments and a wonderful restaurant run by chef Antonio who always comes up with something delicious have made me feel most welcome at this seaside resort just south of Taranto. I cannot wait for summer to arrive to start enjoying the outside activities, the swimming pools and sea, and the scuba and sailing facilities located on the premises. Truly home away from home.

  La mejor opcion en Taranto

  Sin lugar a dudas es el mejor hotel en el que he estado, de la zona de Taranto, en los 6 meses que llevo viniendo aqui por asunto de negocios. El servicio y amabilidad son inmejorables por parte de su staff, y la cocina del restaurante es absolutamente maravillosa. Las habitaciones son amplisimas, confortables y limpias, y cuentan con una terraza de unos 15 m2 con una imponente vista.

  If you want a hot shower, you must ask for the hot water to be turned on.

  First this is not a hotel. They do rent rooms in what is probably a beach club. We are 2 couples (1 American and the other Italian) and arrived here before the summer season started and our room rate I'm sure reflected that too. Our room was clean and modern with a view of their small private beach. Unless you MUST stay in this immediate area, I suggest another town. The drive here includes no signs and a dirt road before you reach the gated entrance. It's a bit scary. Picture this property with nice sea views, but with a beach littered with plastic and debris. Full grown weeds thru the stairs, stained terra cotta tiles outside the "older" units, trash and several abandoned buildings......and yet the pool area was large, clean and picturesque. They have a kiddie pool too. After we complained at the check-in building about no hot water for showers, they sent security to turn on the hot water for our 2 units. I've never travelled where I had to request hot water. We did enjoy and was quite surprised at the breakfast and area Nicoletta was overseeing. This facility has the ability to be wonderful if only they maintained it. It was a very odd experience staying here for the 1 night....no continuity whatsoever. Also too, because this is not a tourist area and we didn't notice other hotels, the surrounding neighborhood was dirty and the streets were littered with garbage and trash bags everywhere. We won't return.

  A lot to learn what is a resort. A shame

  I spend 5 days on Mon Reve. As a resort 4 starts you expect to arrive and have all the stewardship as a resort. Well far away from that. The area is the resort for sure is amazing. A private beach, an amazing pool, all the area of the resort is really beautiful, put the service they need to learn a lot. First as a resort on the beach they need to have to you towels, and they don't. So we need to take the towels of the room, and when we return they even put new towels. Everyday we need to go to the reception and ask for towels. And really by food because the telephone in the room even work. All day we need to ask for towels and shampoos, the other stuff like conditioner cream body they don't have, how in a resort they don't have?! The room just have 2 places to connect the cellphone, don't have where to charge. Another think that happens is have some bangalous close to the pool, where they put photos on the site. We sit in there and they ask us to go out because this is rent a part of the hotel, and no one in the reception told us. How you pay for a resort and you can even seat in the resort area?! I never see that in my life. Don't have any store in that to buy stuff, since the resort don't have, like cream body, conditioner, nothing. They tell that have park free, well they made us change thousands time the car because they rent also the parking. We went to the bar close to the pool to buy a wine and they even have where to put the wine to don't get warm and gave us plastic cups. It's a shame because the area of the resort is really beautiful, the stuff of the recreation really good, but never more in my life. And also, they are constructions new bar but they left all the stuff in the middle of the resort. Never see so bad services. Should be a 2 start

  A great place, but the music is too loud

  We were staying there for 2 weeks for our summer holiday. We found the place from the internet, and saw the photos and I think what the management put online are not beautiful photos because the place is really beautiful. It has private beach which is really beautiful crystal clear water and big swimming pool and also a smaller one for kids. In short, the place is really suitable for family. We took the complete package (including meal of breakfast, lunch and dinner). The food is amazing! Really we were spoiled there. Too bad I didnt take many photos of the plates, but compare to the price, its really good! The service also very good, but there was a couple of days without the maitre D, was a bit confused but I can see that they work their best and we got served well! Francesco to the savior! The room is spacious and they clean every day! They clean well too, since we are on and off the beach so we brought lots of sands inside the room so its a bit messy without the cleaning. So the cleaning ladies were doing the job really well! Two thumbs up! One thing minus of the place is the entertainment which they called animazione. Its too much! Morning afternoon and night and its really loud! Thank god the room has good quality of door and windows so we barely hear it when we sleep... except if you are unlucky to get a room close to the bar, you will not sleep! The animazione is kind of boring, some are really nice (the night animazione) but mostly they repeat things over and over. And we expect to be serene on the beach, well it wont happen except you come there really early or really late cos the music is repeating on and on and on until finally you feel fed up of it. Dont expect to hear the sound of the waves of the beach cos the music is just too loud! If only they dont do it everyday, i will rate 5 stars. I am not sure i want to come back there during peak season of summer, not because i am afraid its crowded, but because of the animazione. They said the animazione finish on sept 11, so maybe we will come back after because other than the animazione, the whole experience of the place is great! Beautiful structure, friendly and nice people and great food!
