  A Fine Hotel With Lots of Turkish Charm

  I spent 5 nights in Izmir's Mom Hotel,besides its huge bus terminal.I preferred being closer to Izmir's vibrant Konak and Bismane areas in a more aesthetically appealing part of Izmir.However for the 152 Turkish Lira that I paid for my room,each night,it was a very good deal.It was very convenient for those going to Ephesus and Bergama to enjoy their ancient ruins.My room was comfortable,the buffet breakfast was excellent and quite Turkish,and the staff was very helpful and kind.

  Cancelled reservation but the hotel still charged my credit card

  Booked my hotel through booking.com for an intended vacation on October. The reservation was free cancellation up til 14 October. Since we decided not to stay in Izmir, i immediately cancelled my reservation through booking.com two days after making the reservation. To my surprise, when i have received my credit card statement, i was charged by the hotel (137TRY) for the booking made in which I have clearly stated in that reservation that my payment would be cash upon arrival. Up until now i haven't heard from this hotel in spite of attempts of contacting them.

  Old Rooms Questionable Cleanliness

  The hotel employees are polite and they try to accomodate you 2 stars just for this. Yet the hotel rooms are very old. The bathroom looked old yet it was at least clean. Cant say the same for the rest of the room. After seeing the couch with a cigarette burnon it and a big dirt mark I had big doubts about the cleanliness of the bed and ended up sleeping on a towel will never stay again

  Mom Hotel Izmir

  The staff is decent which is about the only thing I can say about the place. The art deco is bad, the buffet is on the low end. Conviently found near the bus station, but other than that I would give it a miss.

  Uhmmmm

  The hotel is very nice, with clean rooms and bathroom and very accessible. The best about this hotel is it is next to the central bus station that will help you go to different places like ephesus, pamukkale and bergama. What i didnt like is they let us stay inside the lobby to wait for our room yo be vacant we arrive izmir at 0100 am and they didnt let us stay. There are no hotel near the vicinity so we waited and sleep at the bus station.
